    I'm not picky.
    How have we went backwards?

We won the Scottish Cup, had a decent run in Europe, we are on for the double, we opened up a 7 point gap the week they went into administration, we're going to win the league and we have a chance of beating our 91 points total from last season.

If that's going backwards then I'd like to see what happens when Lenny takes us forward :56:

I think the going backwards was more down to flair being shown than anything else, which is a fair point, but you're right, we've definitely moved forwards, particularly since Kilmarnock.

Well * said mate! Fair play we list 2 but were better than killie and after a poor start had one then both arms tied behind our backs against the filth!! The folk whining on here probably never lived through their tainted nine in a row so don't know what struggling even means!

I like Lennon. I like the job he has done but I'm not convinced any other manager would have been afforded the time he has been given. I do have worries, exacerbated by the past 2 games, a recurring theme of Lenny's regime is starting to show.

Lenny took over pretty much 2 years ago this week. In 2 years he has delivered 1 trophy. Had Mowbray been kept on til' the end of the season then he could have had 1 trophy in 1 year (Scottish Cup). In Europe, we have been battered in every qualifier against relatively small teams (bar, perhaps, Braga). We were lucky to be allowed the chance to return to Europe this season and done reasonably well. In Lennon's first season, we bottled it in the League Cup Final, a match we should have won considering we had only just beaten them 3-0 and 1-0. We bottled the title majorly up at Inverness. This season, we bottled a 2-1 half-time lead at Ibrokes, we've bottled the League Cup and we've bottled a once in a lifetime opportunity to win the league title at Ibrox to a team who were in free-fall. Lennon is prone to making baffling decisions in big matches. Inverness away last season - we played the last half hour with Stokes and Hooper having been taken off for Murphy and McCourt. Stokes not even getting on as a sub in last season's League Cup Final, despite needing a goal. Not playing Ledley at Ibrokes this season. Not playing Sammy in the Cup Final and taking off Rogne ahead of Wilson. Playing Cha, who is, without doubt, the worst right-back I've ever seen play for Celtic, and switching Matthews out on the left on Sunday. Taking off Stokes when he had been one of our best players
(Ki ought to have came off - we had plenty midfielders)

As I have said, I support Lenny and he will deliver us the title this season, no doubting that. The deduction has meant a lot less nerves. When you break it down, however, then it is interesting to see how often we have bottled matches and how often Lenny has got it wrong when we needed him to get it right. I know people will jump on my post straight away but spare this thought - Had another manager, not Lennon, done this over the past 2 years - the exact same results etc - then would they be accomodated so much protection from criticism?

You will get people who are more or less of the mindset "How can you even criticise Neil Lennon you're obviously not a Celtic supporter" there are a few on here but I think the criticism he got from his own fans back when we were 15 points behind is what kept him in the job, before that everyone rallied around him because the rest of Scotland hates him, but with a bit of pressure from his own fans back in October it gave him something to rally against that wasn't sectarian hatred. And we went on a 26 game unbeaten run.
