In fairness, this isn't a bad loan at all. A decent player with plenty of top level experience.

The problem isnt this signing, it's the lack of other signings. Had Jota, Tierney, a replacement striker and schlupp arrived, we would have deemed that a strong window.

Happy to have schlupp for 6 months but * that's our lot tbh

He's always been solid whenever I've seen him tbh, think he will do a good job,but I've also convinced myself of similar with yer Ciftcis and Mulumbus in the past so we'll see.

Think it's a decent signing, if not the most exciting, but the whole striker situation is annoying me and putting a downer on things.

Seems to have a few attributes that Taylor doesn't -pace and power, so looking forward to seeing him.
Just so glad we have gotten in a LB.

Pretty sure he hasn't played LB regularly since being at Leicester.

I'd still expect to see Taylor out there most weeks. But at least it's an option.

Cant remember last night who posted it, but the description of Wee Jeff was somebody who plays any position between lb and pie seller. Fantastic!!

Hope he does well and scores hat-trick after hat-trick, puts Bayern to the sword, snaps Hagi & Raskin in half in the next Glasgow Derby and generally does well in a Celtic jersey. Never heard of him until last night. But, welcome anyway!

A lot of experience at top level, physical & quick plus can play LB, LW, CM and CF. On paper he’s a very astute signing who can cover a lot of positions.

Think the main issue was us being linked with big signings and all of them falling through. Though I don’t think we are worse off with Jota & Schlupp in and Kyogo & Valle out.

I’d be willing to bet Jota will give more goals & assists than Kyogo did first half of season and Schlupp will get more game time than Valle.

Seems highly thought of by CP fans, which is always a bonus.

Haven't seen him this season, the concern would be a lot of them saying he's on the decline which aye you'd expect from a player his age..but...if its impacted his pace that's an issue as he's always been about that power and strong running.

If he still has it then he will defo give us something different.

Our LBs, play much further forward anyway.. so I'm looking forward to seeing him.. also comfortable in the middle so if asked to invert should be seamless..

Our fullbacks rarely shoot in good positions and he definitely has that in his locker too..

Could be a shrewd signing and can see him staying longer if it works for both.

A big experienced mooy replacement. No quit the same but an older head. Just what we need. Bet he'll be the shock of the season and we'll be greeting we can't sign him perm in the summer.

He's out of contract in the summer. If he does well and ends up loving it here, there's no reason why he wouldn't stay if we offered him another deal.

Can he play tomorrow? Assuming he's up in Glasgow today.

Hopefully he does well enough that we want to be having the conversation at the end of the season, but it would really depend on him, he might well see this as a chance to shop window himself before his contract ends, championship teams might be willing to pay him more than us if they're getting him on a free. Meant to be on 60k a week just now, doubt we're covering even half.

Had a read of a palace forum and over multiple pages didn’t see a bad word said about him. It’s a real pity we didn’t get a striker as cover because if we did I would’ve been really pleased with our business. Jota, Schlupp and Tierney on a pre-contract is good *.

I'm hoping he can add some strength to the midfield when needed. It was clear that was what me missed against the Huns. If he can play left back too as back up that's fine.

Thing is, where else is he going to play? Can’t see him coming in at Centre Mid or a Striker.

He could but I would be surprised if he did anything more then come off the bench tomorrow.
