Looked decent. Couple class headers won, couple of decent forward passes, good cut back and decent effort at goal. Lost it a couple of times but he’s not played much football for a while.

Grand old team to play for
First 10 mins were poor, but he improved as he got himself up to the tempo of the game. Last 10 mins he looked fairly good.

He's a big solid unit and just the type of guy we need to help out defending corners and free kicks into our box. He looked a wee bit clumsy at first but I put that down to his lack of game time.

I think it just took him a bit of time to settle in and get to know how the team were playing, I would imagine once he gets training with the side we will see a big improvement.

Also he hasn’t played left back for a good few seasons, so positionally he was a bit suspect at times but you could see he was strong at defending long high balls with a good leap and he was largely sound on the ball. Also happy playing passes of either foot.

If you get him in some of the positions Taylor gets into on the edge of the opposition box you could see him get a couple of goals too, as he can certainly strike a ball.

He will do the job required which may disappoint some but heyho.

Thought he was rusty as to be expected but also liked how positive he was in possession, was always looking to drive forward and look for a forward pass instead of just going sideways/backwards too often

Still perplexed at the Valle situation though, would have far rather kept him for the remainder of the season instead but it is what it is

Probably didn’t expect the pace of game like most players coming from down south

Rabbit in the headlights. Good game for him to get a run. Will be assured that the game isn't as easy up here as many down south think it is.

Did I hear correctly during commentary when they said he hadn’t trained with the team yet? If so his hesitancy at times will be down to not knowing where his automatic out ball was.

I actually thought he was poor tbh, but obviously in the minority here and even then it's no worries when it's his first game for us.

He's a big physical unit either way.

It's one of them, had some decent moments, had some poor moments. Give him game times and a bit of match sharpness and we will see if he is up to the job

This guy is going to do alright. Bit more physical presence than either Taylor or Valle. Will be interesting to see him fit in at full fitness. He wasn't shy of receiving the ball. I liked that last night.

Yeah it was very obvious how new he was, but putting that to one side I thought he looked good, and actually linked up quite well in a couple of cases.

He looked like a pro to me, he’ll pick up quickly.
