And it's official, confirmed by KR Reykjavik:

Hólmbert Aaron Friðjónsson has done two and a half year contract with KR.

Hólmbert be legal by KR in Pepsi League when the transfer window opens on July 15 this year.

As we said yesterday was likely that he would join the rows Vesturbæjar joining the Hólmbert was also in talks with Breidablik, selection and management.

Hólmbert was voted the most promising player Pepsi-League in 2013 when he went on the merits with shooters, he scored 10 goals in 21 games in Pepsi League, but afterwards he went to Celtic in Scotland.

Holm Berti failed to break their way into the Celtic first team and was loaned to Brondby last year.

He has now decided to return home and will play with the KR until 2017 at least

Another 100k wasted on a so called project...... Could have given one of the youth players a chance and put it back into the club that way instead of spunking it away yet again.

Drop in the ocean. It wouldn't even cover Brown's monthly wage.

If you want to go down that road there are much better examples of complete wastes of money, but those are in the several millions not 100 grand.

This has to be one of our most pointless signings ever. Good luck to the Fridge.

It is a weird one though, Lenny thought he would have been into the first team, rather than a project. Clearly did something on his trial that he couldn't manage to achieve when he signed.

Picked up an injury early that didn't help but still, bit of a weird one.

I actually thought of that in the last few days. When he said he was one for now do you think he was having a sly dig at the strikers at the club namely Pukki and Balde. As in he will jump ahead of them in the queue? A sly dig perhaps? Their is strong suggestions that he did not want Balde and we were turned down by a few strikers before Pukki came in.

You always say 'strong suggestions', strong suggestion from who exactly?

And no, I don't. I think he was just letting the fans know because 'raw' and 'project' were getting turned into words to bash the club with.

Stupidly, I might add, Wanyama was a 'raw' player. He was a 'project'.

So nobody who knows much really then.

Balde was as much Neil Lennon's signing as Van Dijk or Wanyama. We conduct all our business the same way. Seemed a good signing at the time as well, he just couldn't build on the strengths he has.
