Big thing I always notice about the strikers who do/don't make an impact at Celtic is their presence. You know when Cole is on the park, cause it always seems like he's in the hunt. For me Ciftci just doesnt show enough. Doesnt have anything to show he's a danger. Cole doesnt have alot of pace but he's always just waiting the for that chance to come if you knkw what I mean:icon_mrgreen: .

    Exactly.

Plus, he must be a nightmare for defenders because of his presence. Certainly draws attention and frees space for Griffiths and the other attacking players.

Bit more match sharpness and he could have had a 2/3/4 today. Was getting into all the right positions, was just a bit slow putting the finishing touches on.

Done well, his balance is shocking though :smiley-laughing002: put the crosses in and he'll score that's a given.

Said that in match thread, he looks weak almost, and lightweight for a big guy. Goes down very easy. Hopefully more matches and that'll stop.

I agree with this, I think his eagerness to be part of the game makes a big difference. I also like how he was tracking back into our half to win the ball.

He has proven he must be played ahead of Ciftci now.

RD: 'I thought Cole did okay. He played well with Leigh. They scored three together so I can't be irritated about that.'

RD on @CarltonCole1: 'You can see he's experienced and knows how to score.'

RD: 'I'm happy for Carlton scoring as it means not everything is on Leigh's shoulders.'

Sly wee dig at Stokes and perhaps Ciftci at the end there.

How the * is it a dig at stokes when he has not played as a striker for ages.:87:

He's currently one of four recognized strikers we have at the club currently.

'Everything being on Leigh's shoulders' would suggest to me that he's the only striker making an effort.

Aye he's someone you want to do well, brings a bit of personality onto the pitch.

    Shifty...maybe....but stokes...not even close.

You're just trying to make more trouble out of nothing.
1.not even in the team or bench.
2.not played as a striker when he gets game time.
3.Even RD is not daft enough to have a dig at a player when he is the guy causing the lack of goals from stokes.

Ah yes, because clearly Stokes is going to see my post and then top himself :87:

Deila doesn't feel as though he is the one responsible for Stokes' lack of goals, he feels that Stokes' attitude isn't good enough to warrant first team action. I think that has been made perfectly clear.
