    But we can't afford someone with a better scoring ratio from england than he has . There's also hardly any free transfers kicking about right now better than him.

    He played about 30 games every season in England for the last ten years - 9 of those in the Premier League. He has good experience playing in a league miles better than ours. The West Ham fans love him and Allardyce speaks very highly of him.

    41 goals in 216 EPL matches isn't great but for a team like West Ham, it's not that bad either. Particularly when you consider that lot's of those appearances are from the bench.

    What do you mean if it was someone we had never heard of we wouldn't want him? If by that you mean someone from the Israeli league with that record then aye obviously. But someone from the EPL is completely different.

    transfer fee maybe - wages not any more.
    And hoopers ratio isn't better than coles i don't think he's only scored something like 15 goals for norwich some in the championship vs much worse opposition than cole.
