Would love him back, only thing that would worry me is his age now but if we get a couple of good season from him it would be worth it.

Injury prone Maloney** But if maybe him and Forrest should op on a game share and hope neither gets injured at sametime!!!!
Maloney is a cracking player, I would have him back too. If he comes back Commons is off in my book. Which I aint happy about!!!

    * signing GMS because he's easily shoved off the ball and defensively a bit dodgy, but bring back Shaun Maloney.

You've to to laugh at the idea of signing players from the national team. The best ones we couldn't sign, the others are past it, or soon to be past it.

Shaun Maloney back to Celtic is on the back of 4 goals in 33 games. Amazing goals though. But a lot of Scotland's form is more down to Anya than Maloney.

Any player that goes down to England walks into the scotland team. So really the ones who'll move down their next are the ones we should be signing.

Problem with your logic there is GMS is nowhere near the player Maloney is.

GMS isn't as good as Maloney, that's why people would rather he signed. It's not hard to understand.

Haha, he's easily shoved off the ball, injury prone, a defensive liability.......

Obviously that's GMS and definitely not Shaun Maloney.

4 goals in 33 for Scotland, 5 goals in the Championship. Played 10 games last year they got to the play-offs without him, this season he's played all the games for Wigan and they sit second bottom.

Hmm, the match he came back from a long injury in 2011 was the match we blew the league at Inverness.

Porto scored their winner in the UEFA Cup Final after he came on as a sub.

    Pattern emerging?!

    You're old. :icon_mrgreen:

I don't know, he can be very good but I get chill down my spine when I remember his second stint with us. To me it seemed that he's been always injured while he was here, and when he went to England he played in almost every game. :smiley-laughing002:
If Commons goes, Shaun will be more than appropriate replacement.

Personally, I wouldn't have him back again. He's too old, has a bad history of injuries, and doesn't have the attributes to improve our current playing style. Sure, he'd offer something different, but so does Commons and he's out the door. Perhaps this is the way things should be under Deila.

Fair * to him if he goes there at this stage in his career. It's different to Diskerud, who has his whole career ahead of him, signing with NYCFC.
