If Baloney's the answer, the question's a box of bollox. He's had two failed attempts to make it with us; how much more do we have to tolerate?

If this is the limit of our ambitions, we should chuck it now. Just get KC signed and consign Baloney to the dustbin of history where he belongs.

A great many more years than you have and a lot more attentively, I'll wager. I have to give you that he's helped our medical teams develop their skills over his past two sessions with us but he flatters to deceive far, far too often to be worth risking again.

Never has been or will be good enough.

You're right, of course; didn't think I was being too obvious. Clearly, a very smart guy like you was able to sniff me out.

Seems sad that your only contribution in argument against an opposite opinion is to imply hunnishness.

get a grip he has spent 10 years at the club and consistently performed well for us yes he had his fair share of injuries in the past but he seems to have overcome all of these and is consistently putting in good performances for wigan

and by the way you want to 'wager' on how attentively you watch celtic makes people think your a 9 year old boy who thinks he is the man when people cant see him get off your high horse and add something intellectual to the conversation if it is within capabilities

Maloney fit and on form is great player....but will Celtic pay up for a 31 year old who has had a poor track record with injuries, especially at his time with us. I'd like to see him come back.

I'd say no. Don't think he'd add too much. Plus at 31, only get a season or 2 most likely.

I think Maloney is a great player and I would welcome him back. However it does seem strange to pay money for him whilst letting Common's contract run down. The signing wouldn't make much sense to me.

'HE LOOKS LIKE A CELTIC PLAYER'

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has fuelled speculation that the club could sign Shaun Maloney by saying the Scotland midfielder “looks like a Celtic player”.

Maloney is out of contract with Wigan Athletic in the summer and Celtic appear to be interested in bringing him back to Parkhead for a third spell.

“‘I am aware of all the Scottish players,” Deila is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. “He is a good player and is one we know about. He is at Wigan at the moment but we will wait and see. I have seen him many times. He is a quick, creative player and is a very good person with a great mentality. He looks like a Celtic player.’

Maloney is known to work hard at training and I think generally looks after himself. From that point of view the more players like that Deila can get in the better.

I think Maloney has some quality so I wouldn't mind seeing him come back in this transfer window. I think he could really help us in the latter half of this season.

I'd only want him here if we signed a pacey winger.

The thought of a 3 of Stokes, Commons and Maloney isn't good, absolutely no pace between them.

I'd sign him in a heartbeat, I didn't want him to go originally. Injuries are the only concern for me, when he's fit and firing he is a very good player.
