    Still agree with the OP

£7m for Broony would be good business

Imagine how much he'd be worth if he played for a team down south.

I suppose so, after all, it says more about you than anything else. The thread is a debate on one of our most talked about players, if you're incapable of adding anything coherent to the discussion, thats fine.

I think this season you will see a new better Scott Brown who will drive the team forward, his defencive duties will be covered with N'Guemo in the team; it will release brown to do what he likes best and drive at the opposition defence. i think he will be the outstanding player of the season. so to sell him is premature watch him grow this season.

keep brown for now. However i doubt his ability to get any better than he already is. With brown I fear its like trying to teach an a dog new tricks. I dont think he has the mental capacity ( thats right, hes pretty stupid) to get any better than he already is.

I think we should wait and see what Mowbray can do with him.

Personally I don't see him fitting into Tony's team of smart ball-players - bit of a headless chicken tbh, plenty of flap but not much sense.

However if Tony can knock some sense into him, he could be a real asset to us in the SPL. Let's take a gamble & see what happens. If he develops under Mowbray, then we can sell him and get in someone a bit more suited to our European ambitions.

I was asked earlier if I was being serious, but that was a few pages ago, so here's a copy of my reply
    ------------------------------------------------
    Yes, seriously.

Think about it for a minute.

Unfortunately Scott lacks vision, the ability to pass to feet, the ability to pass into space, any range of passing and has a paltry scoring record. Oh, and running headlong into people dosen't count as tackling either.

So, he is'nt the finished article? really, you don't say. This would be okay if it were are a few problems he had to iron out, however we are talking about the basic elements of the game, namely; passing (a crucial component of a midfielder's game would'nt you say?) tackling and shooting.

If he was'nt considered (bizarrely in my opinion) to be considered such a valuable asset in monetary terms, then i'd perhaps agree with the give him time approach. However, we have a habit of holding onto players for way too long, I would get repetitive strain injury typing out all the names of those who fall into this category.

So, while the EPL gravy train is still on the rails, £7M+ on the nose, thank you and goodbye Scott.
    --------------------------------------------------------------
So, those are my reasons for wanting to have him moved on. Quite a few pro-Brown posters have agreed about these flaws in his game, what do you think?

As for who i'd have in central midfield, my first choice pairing would be Crosas & N'Guemo, with Barry Robson being 1st choice back-up (when fit).

Scott Brown must remain at celtic imo. He has talent and we missed him when he was out last season.

    He is better than crosas.
