Played his best 3 or 4 game sequence in a Celtic jersey under Lennon but I'd still entertain a bid of half that even now.

Buy Bauben from Dundee United and pocket the 3 million differential.

If the new manager wants to keep him then I'll go with that but Im not too fussed and have been advocating his sale since the end of last season.. He's played some decent games recently and the run to set up Keane for the goal against Motherwell shows that when he's at his best he's a class act and could be worth a lot of money.. I think he's on Lenny's "to keep" list..

Would happily take half what we paid just to get shot of him.

One of the biggest imposters ever to pull on the hoops.

we talking about building for the future...

so how does selling our home bred captain help us with this?

until people get this stupid thing of "we have to sell players just because someone is offering" out of their heads, the sooner we can progress

Helps us getting rid of another dud who doesn't deserve to play for Celtic.

    Captain!? Don't make me laugh!:56:

By armband only, he doesn't have any attribute of proper captain, hopefully Celtic realize how * he is and sell him to first team with 3m cheque.

This sell Scott brown pish is a pathetic excuse for a moan!
Nobody has put a decent offer on the table, therefor he remains a Celtic player.
If a decent offer is put forward then the manager & broony will discuss his options.
As someone said before, there are worse players at the club & this idea of offloading important players to improve the team...(well just ask Mowbray about that)..is stupid at this stage.
If there comes a point where we have a good replacement for him in that position, then yeah move him on if it's worth the coin.

His performances under lennon have improved alot and at this moment I would think he's worth keeping, anything from 4million upwards I would sell though.

gordan strachan has ruined scott brown he used to be a box to box player at hibs . strachan made him in to a sitting midfielder. i wouldnt sell him id encourage him to be the player he was at hibs . cause if he was to be sold i predict the scum would sign him a few years down the road and he would come back to haunt us like kenny miller.

    True that about Hartley.

Would you still keep him, Marky?

Yes I would still keep Broony. I will be watching his form very closely next season though. There have been extenuating circumstances but the bottom line is this:

Scott Brown has been at Celtic for 3 seasons now, 1 of them was very good and the other two have been rotten.

So if Scott Brown is to have a long term future at Celtic I think next season is going to be make or break for him. If he can recapture his best form he'll be a central part of our team next season. If he can't then I think we should probably cut our losses and move him on next summer.

For the meantime I'm happy for Broony to stay though. :50:

    Fair play.

But I don't have time for him at all. We've been hearing too much of that "if he can perform next season". There's no next season. Players like him simply can't be allowed to wear Celtic jersey, nevermind given 3rd chance.

Just asking, since I remember you defended the lad. So my conclusion is that you're either stubborn or blind.:icon_mrgreen::50:

brown is Never going to score a lot of goals, he simply doesn't shoot from outside the box, he knows he doesn't have the ability. The new manager must decide weather to keep him and employ him in nguemmos def mid position and buy a box to box midfielder who will score goals or sell him buy nguemmo and a box to box midfielder.

The lack of goals from the middle of the park was one of the reasons we lost so many games, we would get to the final third and there was no imagination or someone to shoot from the edge of the box as we had plenty of chances

We don't need to sell so a decent bid of 7m would get us a good player in his place that would be more consistant, and valuable to the team
