    That's quite vague.

He's class, but not world class.

    He's world class.

You don't be Man United's top Premiership scorer if you're not world class. Don't be one of there best players over the last 10 years or so without being world class.

He's not a Messi, Ronaldo or Falcao, nontheless he's still a great player.

He hasn't be consistent enough to be considered world class, he's had spells when he's looked a world class player in the 09-10 season and for a lot of last season but world class players perform to a level season in, season out.

Rooney is 27, terribly inconsistent, cannot nail down his favoured position at United, doesn't produce in the biggest of games and has failed at both world cup's he was at.

He works really really hard, and is a good team player, but definitely not world class.

And how has he not nailed that down? Considering he's been playing that for United the majority of his career?

In champions league finals in 08 and 09 Ronaldo and Tevez up front were seen as the better option by Sir Alex.

And recently, especially this season he's been playing out wide, attacking midfield and the odd time centre midfield.

In the last two months he's started playing SS again, however as seen on Tuesday he wasn't trusted in a huge game. And in the first leg he played wide midfield for the majority of the game.

In the absolutely massive games, he doesn't play or is asked to play a different role.

And that is a load of bollocks. He's been playing off Van Persie when he's been fit.

Sometimes he's shunted out wide in big games because Ferguson trusts him more than others in that position. He has 100% nailed down his spot at United, 20 games 11 goals and 9 assists and yet he's inconsistant? And thats a bad season he's having.

    Bollocks to that.

Throughout his career he's been inconsistent in big games, world cups, champions league's and in general goal scoring terms in comparison to other (supposedly) world class players.

He's been subbed or left out of two of the three champions league finals he's been involved in due to his lack of an impact.

He very rarely does magical things like Messi, Ronaldo or even what Gareth Bale has been doing this season, where they make things happen out of absolutely nothing, he needs his team mates to be on form for his impact to be evident.

You've done nothing to back up your claim that Rooney is world class, while I've stated reasons why he isn't world class, by saying that he doesn't do what all other world class forwards do on a consistent basis.

Saying he has played 400 appearances for Man United and he has 11 goals in 20 appearances this season does not automatically mean he is world class, I can name loads of "good players" who're nowhere near world class and still have those type of stats.

Can you name loads that are Man United's top Premiership scorer ever?

I can name loads who've performed more than just constantly scoring against average mid-table clubs in the premier league.

World class players perform in the massive games and massive competitions, Rooney does not. His stats are impressive, but you must look deeper than stats. He's not world class.

And that is why it is bollocks. You think he doesn't score in the big games, his overhead against City, at that time, to win a massive derby was World Class. He has had many other moments like that.

Look deeper than stats? His link up olay, his movement, his passing, his finishing, his heading, his workrate, his tackling, his tactical discipling, his pace, his strength...
