Agreed. I has done a print screen- at that exact moment- same as yours and was going to post it in here But i couldnt do it for some reason. Its not a normal landing from McCulloch- because he wants to upend aiden

yes but the intent merited a yellow.not only did he lunge in late but his trailing leg swung round also.i think if he had caught him there could have been a debate wether a straight red could have been issued.

Small amount of contact, not enough to send anyone down, but McCulloch went in with intent to crunch McGeady and I'm glad he went down.

if there was contact or not the intent was there yellow card imo sometimes with fast players if there is slight contact it will knock u of ur stride depending on the pace u r going

Yes but you see it in every league all over the world, if a player dives in you will ride it and go down wether there is contact or not, its called a proffesional dive. Now Laugherty has done far far more worse than this, like the Brown sending off at ibrox. Lee McCulloch has also got away with murder since he has joined rangers, the elbow on Charlie Mulgrew at ibrox being the most blatant assaults in football and he got away with it. So Jeff Winter take a look at the team you supports antics ya clown.

To be fair Elbows makes no attempt to get the ball and from what I understand from the rule books (which normally don't apply to the huns), is intent and there for a yellow card offence.

    Good decision.

Maybe not but mcculloch went flying in what was a very wreckless challenge. Definite red, contact or not. With the treatment that mcgeady gets from opposition players I'm surprised he does'nt end up injured alot more than he does. Its called getting out of the way of a dangerous tackle - not diving.

yes it was a dive.....but winter seems to be keeping it quiet with laffertys and mcColluchs dive one which both players tried to get our players sent off

Anywayz winters is another example of how vile rangers fans can be for a ex professional referee to come out with something like that is very unprofessional and makes you wonder about english and scottish referees

there is a distinct difference between diving and getting out the road of a dangerous, potential injury causing tackle. You dont have to be touched by a player for it to be a foul in a case like that, whether mcelbows actually makes 'contact' or not is immaterial, the fact is he lunged into a dangerous challenge, was the right decision by anyone who actually knows the rules of the game. the press do my nut with this whole 'contact' debate when they are discussing tackles like mcculloghs.

I didn't see this thread earlier or I would have joined in the debate, now its pretty much over & I must say I am annoyed that some of you think McGeady dived. There is no way that is true, I could give you 6 reasons or more, but most of them have already been mentioned.

We are talking about a player whose game plan is to go past people, not a player who is thinking, is this a good moment to dive.He just couldn't play in the way he does if that were true.

One reason which may not have been mentioned is, he is past McCulloch, so he can't see what he is doing & then to go to ground could look pretty silly. McCulloch though actually twists himself towards McGeady, which is another reason.

As for going down easily , in Rugby players twice his size go down from ankle taps.

I like McGeady a lot, I just hope he doesn't get fed up & leave.

Course he didn't dive, disgraceful challenge and justified red card for the big goon.

McCulloghs hand did catch Aiden's foot. Not much contact, but when you're running that fast it doesn't take much. Besides, we had won anyway, it made no difference to the outcome. Not like when we were cheated by refs in the previous OF games this season.

:56::56: he DIVED his arm is behind his foot in the vid and as his foot and mchulloghs hand cross paths the video stops it and makes it look as though he caught him.

Or am I not ment to say that. :52:

Aye, was definatley a dive. Look at where the first moment of contact was apparently made...Aiden's foot still moves forward in a running motion but he's knee mysteriously "gives way"

I hate seeing any player dive let alone one in the Hoops. Sort it out, Aiden! :47:
