I dont even think larsson was in their bracket

they play week in week out for one of the top clubs in the world, are consistantly outstanding, in one of the hardest leagues in the world.

    Larsson never done that

larsson was world class, doesnt matter what league he played in. my m8 is a man u fan and didnt think he was world class until he played for them in his mid 30's. also are you saying pele was not world class due to the fact he played most of his football in brazil?

    Henrik Larsson

    2005/06 FC Barcelona 14 10 0 0
    2004/05 FC Barcelona 6 3 1 0

    Thats an impressive record.

"When he came to Barcelona, Henrik said nice things about me but by the time he left he was my idol," said Ronaldinho. "In fact, he was my idol even before that. I remember him playing for Sweden in the 1994 World Cup. Henrik taught me a lot about football and I learned even more from him as a person. I was disappointed that he left for Sweden because I would have loved to have played with him for longer. Now United will benefit from his experience and knowledge. They are incredibly lucky. He is still in incredibly good shape and could carry on playing at the highest level for a long time."
Ronaldinho (Brazil/Barcelona) on Henrik Larsson, Jan 2007

It is for the games started mate, but 10 games one season, isnt overly impressive.

You've got to remember though he was way past his prime at that stage.

Had Barca signed him in 2003/04, I wonder how many games he would have started.

Had Balde and Hedman not been last-minute fannies in Lyon / Munich, I reckon we could have got to at least the QF of the Champions League in 2004, best Celtic team I've ever seen.

Again mate, its all iffs and buts mate, you know what i mean, they prove nada ....

If he was one of the best in Europe in his prime, the best clubs in the world would have regulary come knocking, with big money, that celtic could not have knocked back, and big wages....

The man u thing shouldnt have been a one off if he was world class (if it did happen)
