I reckon he won't be sold for anything less than £15M but even a £12M return for £900k is a no-brainer.

Would love to see him here for a few more years but like has been said £12m and he will be off £15/20m would be a lot better though.

This is how we are going to operate now so sadly this won't be the last time we see promising young talent come and go .

I'd really love to see big Vic at Celtic for years to come but it looks very much as if a big offer will come in and he'll be off, be sad to see him go but we'll bag a good few quid.

Never going to happen. The only reason is because he's playing in the SPL, if he was playing in England then I'm sure there would be talk of him being worth £20-25m

The fact that we're even discussing selling him to the likes of Man United and Arsenal for £12m, when he's only been playing in Scotland for just over a year, shows how good Victor is. Another gem unearthed by our management and scouting team.

To think we got him for just under a million and now look at the price he is what an excellent find by our scouts:50:

He reminds me of Michael Essien the way he plays, solid, composed and a huge presence for such a young player. I feel sorry for Kayal, he was noticably our best midfielder in his first season, but with his injury Wanyama prospered.

I think Wanyama's value will be greatly affected by his performances in Europe this season. If he can put in another 2 or 3 strong performances in the Champions League then we can probably start talking pretty seriously about £10million+. Which is actually pretty phenomenal when you consider what we paid for him not so long ago.

I know there will be people on here who will scoff at that and say he's already worth about £20million but I think that kind of talk is over optimistic.

I'm certain most here will be left feeling disapppointed whatever we do get for him,it's not going to be £20 million or over.

Agree and also think this applies to another couple of players, those that can cut it in the CL will no doubt catch the eye and their value will increase significantly.

Would be nice to see him stay for another season before cashing him in.

That being said, I think some of the valuations on here are a tad optimistic.

My concern would be, how much would we need to spend to get someone in to replace him? If the answer to that is equal to or more than Wanyamas fee then it's a non starter for me. We aren't in a financial mess, we don't need to sell him. At least 10 for me, even if he isn't worth that, we have our own aspirations that unfortunately for the EPL does not include being a feeder team for they *.

His actual worth runs into billions.

I'd swap him for a medium sized oil company - or a small country.

Would be quite cool to have our own country actually - I'm thinking rename it Celtonia?

Love it when a plan comes together. :50:

To get the kind of money thats been said on this thread he will need to perform well in the champions league and based on his 3 performances so far you wont get a bid anywhere near whats been said on here.

What do you think well get for him? Do u still not rate him?

I reckon well get 12 million tops. I'd actually sell him for that but would be sad to see him go.

    He defended fantastically against Barca.

I think we could easily get £12 mil for him.
