Vic looked every bit like a £15-20million player tonight. This guy should be the biggest transfer in Scottish Football history when he leaves us.

i really don't see why not.

Hopefully he stays though and extends his contract for a couple of years and then leaves for 40millafter we win the CL. :icon_mrgreen:

I'm not gonnae lie, and I know this sounds ridiculous, but a thought actually went through my head for a few seconds tonight. I thought 'If we could get to the last 16, looking at how we just played against Barca over 2 games, could we maybe get to the last 8 or even the last 4?'. What a thought!

It probably won't happen but hey it's nice to be able to believe in our team that much again. :celt_2:

realistically we're looking at anywhere between 20-30m for him assuming he keeps up this level of performance. He strolled it last night, was like a rolls-royce purring around the pitch, shift easily through the gears.

This is how it needs to play out.
We re-sign wanyama on a new contract before the end of the season, and/or if we qualify for the last 16. Put him on the same money as Ledley and Brown.

He continues to improve and we hold him for 1 or two more seasons, before selling him for around £25 million, ( thats what the french clubs got for the likes of Essien).

Over the summer, we bring in the next batch of John Park super scouted players, for modest fees.

Must keep the conveyor belt moving.

Easy £20m. He's the best player in the country by a mile. The rest of our squad are probably the next best 25 players and not many of them should be under sale consideration for less than 8 figures.

Had mates who follow the EPL and say the SPL is a * league texting me during the game saying how much of a beast Wanyama is in the midfield. :50:

He looked a £20m player last night, as good positionally as Makelele but more mobile and better going forward.

How much did clubs shell out for him?

If i was Barcelona i would be punting Alex Song and signing Wanyama. At times in the game he had 3 round about him and you still knew they weren't going to take it off him. An absolute fantastic performance. That £25million price tag is looking a bit on the cheap side:icon_mrgreen:.

Said in the wanyama transfer thread last night and will say it again.

He would not look out place in any side in Europe, he bossed the park defended brilliantly shutting down players, showed amazing pieces of skill with silky passes and topped it off with a cracking goal.

I really do wish that we can keep him for a few more years but in reality if he keeps this up it will not be long at all before someone comes a knocking, of course they are going to have to cough up A LOT of cash :icon_mrgreen:

He made Song look like Evander Sno last night. I honestly would not be surprised if Barcelona came knocking.
