    why are people BELIEVING the papers,it'a close season,the hun issues are quiet and these guys have to make headline to sell papers,it's their JOB.

    Paper talk nonsense, Wanyama will not be the only Celtic favourite linked with a move away by the hun media, this close season- Hooper,Mathews and Mulgrew will be next....

    A run in the Champions League can only push Victors value up and at £900,000 we're in a win win situation.

    We don't need to sell at the mo so if there's any truth in the matter we can hold out for big money.

    Would rather he stayed though his versatility important for us. :shamrock:

    The EPL isn't really over-rated. Average EPL players come to the SPL and are instantly top players in our league. People say that players like Mikel for example are over-rated but put him in our Celtic side and you would soon see how good he is.

    Agree he's * outstanding. I think he's the best defensive midfielder in the EPL. He got 11 assists in 34 games last season and protected Arsenal's defence so well. No way Kayal or Wanyama are at his level yet!

    If he wants to go, £7million is a good return. We have plenty of decent midfielders like Kayal, Ledley, Brown, Commons who can do well for us in Europe. Use the money on a quality striker.

    Hes the one player in our squad who i think has the attributes to be actually world class.
    Whether he gets to that level or not we will have to see, but so far the signs look encouraging.

    I hope we can hang onto him and it may well come down to whether we qualify for the champions league or not.You would hope this possibly with better terms in his contract that he may stay for another season.Being of a certain vintage i have become used to better players than Vic going south the quality street gang were a good example they were definately european cup winning quality had they stayed together a year or so longer.The inability to hang onto our better players does make it even more difficult to compete in Europe.
