We have no players that are world class .

Kayal is excellent but not anywhere close to being world class.

If this is true then Victor needs to give his agent a friendly warning - or look into getting a new one.

we all love the tic,but we are hindered playing in this league and any decent players we have will want to play elsewhere simple as and if they want to go lets get the best price and move on,nobody is bigger than the tic

Was the whole point of buying young european talent not to develop them and sell them on at a profit? If we could get £7m for Wanyama that would be fantastic business. Yeah, he is a good player, but we have a lot of players vying for midfield and the money would be reinvested in the squad.

What I hate to see are players running their contracts down and leaving for * all - Loovens, Cha and others in recent seasons.

Yeah, great player, but no-one is bigger than the club. If he wants to go, good luck to him, but it should be on our terms.

Stuff like that is sickening. Money grabbing agents are ruining the game, it's not the first time we've had a run in with them. Don't give a * about their players or their clubs, just as long as they get their cheque.

Big Vic needs to stay if we are to have a chance in Europe this season. Our midfield is absolutely key to our progression and he's a massive part of that. We almost have 2 top midfields but seem to be prone to injury so its essential he stays to be able to rotate.

being shaky at the back makes it imperative he stays.

Vic hear me Vic, your staying!

I agree with what your saying but you still want to keep the young players to help the club progress and then when they start to reach their peak age sell them off for a premium price.

I still feel he has a lot to learn so if he stays we can get even more for him in a few years time as he will get more experience in situations such as the Champions League which will improve him as a player.

And the reverse of that is also true. He may go on to have a poor season, or become injured. He may also run his contract down, which is what Ki looks like doing, thus reducing any potential fee we could get.

Im fine if he stays, agree he has great potential. But we need to realise that we cant compete with the EPL and most players will always take the opportunity to move. So it has to be on our terms when it comes up.

Im sure Lennon will make the right decision.

With regards to Europe, I think we need to look to concentrate on dominating the SPL for a couple of seasons first. We dont know whats gonna happen with the huns, but hopefully we will look to build and strengthen. That will include buying as well as selling.

Look at how many players are being let go to see the potential money we have lost. The club needs to take the opportunity to make money off players when it arises. Though not at the risk of weakening the side. A difficult juggling act.

I agree 100% - the term is bandied around too easily.

I'd also say that classing Wanyama as good as Mikel is ludicrous(in my opinion) - that guy has probably 150 appearances at the highest level and is clearly a top class midfielder.

I can't see us selling Wanyama after a season when he still has 3 years on his contract, unless he is pushing for a move - which i've seen no evidence of.

Overrated league I'd say. Wanyama could go on to be much closer to Essien's ability than Mikel will.

The players that are leaving, I would class as the downsides of the signing policy that has seen us get players like Wanyama for cheap. We're taking punts on cheap buys and some of them just won't rise to the challenge, like Cha, McGinn. Another feature of our signing policy in recent years has been to try many centre halves, none of whom who have really convinced as a long term option. Hence why Loovens, O'Dea and Majstorovic. I don't really think we've lost much resale value on any of them. Juarez I can't explain, something just not right about his attitude.

If he is adament he wants to go and it sounds as if he is ,let him leave ,but no soft touch approach from Celtic as he is signed up for 4 years completing only one .

If there is a few clubs interested ,Celtic should be kicking his valuation off at 8million ,a lot of teams crave for players like Vic ,so let them pay up .

im not being anyway racist but ive noticed a trend...these lads get a break with a big club, do well, declare their love for said club, get an offer, smell the dough and go running...asamoh gyan perfect example, claimed for years his dream was to play epl, done well, a BS club in uae in a BS league offers him a big contract and away he goes, drogba similar....its hard to blame them given the poverty they grew up in but dont expect loyalty in the long run from an african

you need to remember these are people....idk what you work as, but if you have a job, would you reject double/triple/ quadruple your salary to move to a new company doing the same job?

would you *, cant blame people for wanting more money, people think its a crime when its footballers, but its normal for an everyday person, its silly

How is Drogba similar at all? Are you sure you're not confusing him with Anelka (a European player mind you)? Gyan was a special case, I don't think I've ever seen a situation like him. There are obviously many examples... Man City when they weren't winning anything.
