I have no objection to Wanyama wanting to go but we shouldnt accept a penny less than £10m. Players come and go (even the best ones) but if we can get into the habit of spending £1m on a player and selling them for £10m a couple of years later then we are on the right track.

Personally I would be disappointed but I can see why the guy wants to leave. Sadly I also doubt he will develop as a player playing the typical rubbish in the SPL. As long as we get his real value I dont mind

 

I'd settle for not a penny less than £10m straight up and 25% sell-on clause.

Its his * of an agent Rob Moore trying to stir up a move or contract increase whilst Victor is away playing for Kenya. Lawell said no way and now he is running to the rags giving them a story whilst hoping it catches some clubs attention. People like him ruin football as they fuel a players ego making them think they are worth more and more. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he has managed to turn Victors head by now with tales of riches in the EPL.

Player's agents have a history of * us over, Shaun Maloney's agent when he was with us in his first spell was only interested in how much money he could get his hands on and wasn't bothered about what was the best option for Shaun.

 

To be honest I think Wanyama is a distictly average player. He's not a patch on Kayal. He made some absolute howlers playing in an against poor teams. He wouldn't last in the Premiership. If we got 4m for him it'd be a good bit of buisness.

 

Really hope he stays for another season at least.

He always performs when it matters and can't think of many bad games he has had. He is a quality player and definetly one of our best. Big future ahead of him, just hopefully he has another few years with Celtic.

Would hate to see him leave us after only the one season but saying that if we were offered in the region of 7mill or so then I reckon we should take it as long as it's money that will be put back into the transfer kitty

He's become one of my favourite players in the short time he's been here, I really hope he stays but if we can unearth another few gems with the good chunk of money we'd get for him - I don't think we could complain tbh. We are definitely going down that route and it's possible to be successful just using transfer fee's gained if this level of scouting continues.
