    He's not a winger.

Well, he has been playing there for Celtic. So I will judge him on that.

Put it this way, would I want him in ahead of Bitton or Brown? No.

He isn't really a winger though. He has played there as he's fast and can carry the ball well. But if you look at him as a player he is clearly a centre-midfielder. His strengths are running, tackling, guardring the ball, turning players, harrassing players, carrying the ball forward, also has a good long pass on him and decent shot. He is a centre-mid or defensive midfielder who can get forward well.

He is as much a winger as Scott Brown or Gattuso who played wide right at times, same as he's been played on the left.

Agree though that it would be dodgy signing him as we look very unlikely to play a 3-man centre-mid which would suit him the best so he'd not get many starts.

I think he'd be very good though in a midfield 3 though, especially in European games, where he has the tenacity, pace and strength to win the ball and keep hold of it and also the pace to get forward. But we couldnt really afford him just to play in Europe.

Always the catch 22 for Celtic, were ideally as we are an "average" European team we should have more pacey/powerful/hardworking/counter-attacking players but in the SPL we need more creative/technical/clever players to break down defences.

He takes maybe a good touch, then a loose touch to win this free kick, but this is African football. It's raw but funny to watch sometimes.

Anyway if you skip to 1 hour 32 minutes and 50 seconds, he wins a free-kick in central midfield and it's a fairly decent assist.

Look, I'm only judging him on what I have seen in a Celtic shirt.

He might well be good in a midfield 3 but what are the chances of us playing that under RD as you say. I'd be wary of putting him and Brown in as a 2 as well, too much energy not enough finesse in that midfield.

He's not a bad player, clearly. I just wouldn't be fussed if he moved on.

He would be good to have in the squad though, so id want to keep him but as you say he's probably not going to get a lot of games due to our style of play.

I see him as a player who would be ideal to have in the Champions League/European games.

I like his work rate alot, that's his best attribute.

He seems like a bit of a liability though.

Anyone think he'll get a look in when he comes back? He played bits and bobs for us before Christmas. You don't get to an AFCON final and play by being *. I never thought he was that bad. Scored that belter against Red Bull.

    Maybe in Europe...

    Bitton
    Armstrong Brown Wakaso
    Johansen
    Griffiths

That would be some midfield/forward for pace and work-rate.

Not sure why so many have written him off.

In the limited time he's played he's not done much wrong.

He's been one of the best players at this tournament, I think he'll make the team of the tournament same as Efe did the last one.

    ??????
    Aurier ?????? ?????? ??????
    Die
    Toure Wakaso
    Atsu ?????? Gervinho

Would be my team, cant think of centre halves or left back or keeper and no striker has been that great. Would probably pick Ayew from Ghana in there even though not really a striker.

Atsu I thinks been the Player of the Tournament.

I think there's a really good player there. I just worry that he'll struggle for game time between now and the end of the season. He's made for Deila's system.

I thought Atsu was Portuguese. Or played for them, at least.

He's been great in this tournament, very clinical in his play, touch, crossing, shooting has been great compared to most other players, scored and set up a few goals too.

I mind he was on loan at Everton, would be great for us, has a good strike and nice left foot - no danger of him cutting it at Chelsea if De Bruyne/Mata/Schurrle etc are getting punted but knowing them theyll want about £6million for him.

He's still at Everton, I think. Barely plays though.
