We'd make a small fortune if we could sell games ppv to everyone, I don't know why anyone would think it's us choosing not to do it for some unknown reason, just doing ourselves out of revenue and * off fans for a laugh? Restricing it to season tickets only will be 100% sky protecting their interests.

Even letting us stream to season ticket holders is a bit of a risk for sky long term depending on how well it goes, we're hiring some decent level production with the guys behind the BT coverage, if it doesn't cost us over the odds and it's a stable streaming platform, the bean counters will definitely be taking note and have something to think about when we're looking at a new tv deal in future.

La Liga hopes to have SOME FANS back in stadiums by the end of the season, says President Javier Texas

that’s our virtual STs will probably be similar if not worse than Spain as they’ve already restarted games, this is why Celtic changed our terms & conditions because we’re looking at no full Celtic Park for this season, club are taking the *, still nothing on multiple STs at same address, as Celtic Star said, a club like every other

    Glasgow Today

Can someone explain to me why Scotland allow protests and counter protests with no social distancing nor compulsory masks etc and yet football fans can't attend games!

Maybe we should just tell fans they can come and take part in a BLM protest at our ground ..oh, and there will be an SPFL match to provide some entertainment

    It’s embarrassing-

In contrast to Celtic’s approach Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Dundee United have promised that fans will be given 19 live matches on their season Ticket on top of the Virtual option.
Whatever number of matches are played BCD will be added as a credit for the 2021/22 season with all three clubs reporting strong sales accompanied by goodwill from supporters.

We know a lot of our members, and other fans, are currently delaying season ticket renewals given the lack of clarity re value.

Various Celtic fan organisations are in discussions with the club re this and we hope to have an update next week.

ta man, I’ve not renewed, it’s bad enough over 500 quid to watch tv but with 2 season tickets at my house over £1,000 really is taking the *

I think if the opportunity comes up I will buy one too. I don’t think the current situation is too bad if you’re only getting one book, but like @jake10 says if you’re buying more than one it’s a kick in the balls.

THE first Old Firm derby of the new season will be staged at Celtic Park before the end of October.

It’s understood the SPFL plan to release the 2020-21 Premiership and Championship fixtures next Friday.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon indicated a fortnight ago he’d like the opening home clash against the Gers – normally watched by nearly 60,000 fans - pushed back as long as possible to at least ensure it’s not behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 situation.

But, it’s now believed that won’t happen and it will be fixed for a date no later than October.

Sky Sports’ five-year broadcasting deal kicks off on August 1 and it’s thought they want the first derby to be pencilled in for the end of the month.

The Championship is scheduled to begin on October 17.

Growing hopes of fans being able to return to grounds early in the campaign, even if just in reduced numbers, depend on more details from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon who is preparing to give the go-ahead to live outdoor events with physical distancing possibly from July 23.

SPFL operations director Iain Blair is considering European and international dates – including Rangers’ Europa League tie against Bayer Leverkusen – ahead of fixtures being finalised.

Celtic are drawing plans to accommodate crowds of 30,000 at Parkhead by the end of August.

And the anticipated reduction of the two-metre rule by the Scottish Government could see the Scottish Rugby Union host Murrayfield gates of up to 34,000 by September.

The SPFL Premiership has scheduled a provisional kick-off date of August 1 for the new football season, with games set to begin behind closed doors.

With the Scottish Government confirming plans to allow live outdoor events with social distancing as early as July 23, however, hopes are rising that fans could return to Scottish games in significant numbers within weeks.

'This is a vital step everyone in Scottish football has been waiting for,' said SFA Chief Executive Neil Doncaster. 'We are not taking anything for granted, and are committed to adhering to all relevant medical and government guidelines, but clubs and supporters can definitely now see light at the end of the tunnel.'

Hibernian Chief Executive Leann Dempster remained cautious last night saying: 'Certainly things like how the stadium would work and that thinking is well forward now.

'It is just the timing element now that keeps moving, continually and quickly. So, there has been more positivity in the last seven days concerning normality and social distancing and how that impacts on us. It does give us hope.

'I still anticipate we will have Hibs fans in the stadium next season and I hope that it will be this side of the year. A few days ago i might have thought January onwards and a really limited amount, but i am more hopeful now. I think they will get in this year, whether October, November...who knows?'

Celtic and the SRU teamed up to employ outside consultants to examine how fans back in stadia might work and, with the lowering of the two metre rule expected on July 2, the best case scenario would see fans back in bio secure arenas within nine weeks.

In a statement welcoming yesterday's government announcements on behalf of the Joint Response Group SFA Chief Executive Ian Maxwell said: 'Today's news is welcome by the JRG and I am sure everyone involved in Scottish football from professional to grassroots level.

'While we must proceed with caution and respect the government's current public health advice, none the less the First Minister's announcement today gives confidence that, as the virus diminishes in Scotland, we can prepare for the gradual return of fans into stadia.'

The SRU have held talks with Hearts and Hibs over hosting socially distanced football games at Murrayfield.

Last night, however, Dempster said: 'We are still having discussions with the guys at Murrayfield and we still like the idea and the possibility of using Murrayfield but the barrier for us is the real, physical cost of putting a match on there because the stadium is so big and we could have to use virtually all of it or all of it from a a social distancing perspective.

The associated cost of opening up all of murrayfield, even with reduced stewarding is still significantly more than we could probably bear. We have not given up hope yet but if you had asked me a couple of weeks ago I was probably 70-30 or 60-40 in favour of it happening but I am probably about 50-50 now.'

Grassroots football is also on the way back, SFA Chief Maxwell adding: 'Today's announcement is also hugely encouraging on the timeline for the reintroduction of football to the hundreds of thousands of recreational players in the country.

This will obviously be dependent on adhering to the current guidelines, whilst seeking more detail on the phasing and scaling of phases 2 and 3.

I understand their reasoning in selecting celtic park as the first derby fixture. It would be too risky to play it at ibrox. We have to keep the R number down. Those manky unwashed fleash eating, flea ridden * would bring on a second wave. Can't have them all congregating in the city. It would be a public health hazard.

Awk, typical old man's boozer. If they're doing 2m distancing they'll have about 3 people in though.
