Played fantastic again last night, really hope we can hold onto him as there will no doubt be a lot of clubs swooping in for him soon.

We might have found a good defender for the Dutch team at last. Van Gaal select this big man....you/we need him!

Another class performance from Van Dijk last night. Wonder will we see him in the Dutch squad next month. Has to have boosted his chances after last nights display.

I reckon the Dutch coach would have been impressed with him- hope he gets a chance.

But then on the other hand that'll be another player we have to worry about getting injured playing pointless international friendlies :54:

A good worry to have I suppose- great to have players playing at the highest level.

Holland will show that they aren't hesitant in calling up players/capping them just because of playing in a supposedly "poor" league.

Unlike a certain place south to Scotland.

Which is part of the reason why despite being a third of their size, the Netherlands were in the last World Cup Final and England were naewhere :bbpd:

An absolute rock at the back. Him and Ambrose have formed a great partnership long may it continue.

I hope he doesn't, to be honest :smiley-laughing002:

All international football does, to me, is bring on injuries and encourage interest in our best players.

    Fecking hate it.

And if they don't get a call up, they become demotivated and seek a move south eg Hooper.

Nothing can hurt samaras. If you'll try to hurt him, he'll just point at the scoreboard.

Who does he have for competition in the Dutch squad anyway? Their defence is usually pretty poor these days. Wouldn't be surprised if Khalid Boulahrouz and Andre Oojier still start for them.
