    Crazy , why keep a player who doesnt want to be there and for that sum of cash ? His value will only plumett from here on so i don't understand it.

    Tell you what, fair * play to Southampton. He would have been away earlier on in the transfer window if not for the shady way clubs were dealing with them, stood their ground.

    * for us but I don't mind seeing that. What happens now will show you the character of the big man. I think his value will go up further, mind he went in a huff trying to force a transfer at us? Couldn't play Dundee? Didn't effect him on the field at all.

    When you see the money spent on players in this window, they were actually acting pretty reasonably in holding out for more imo. He's quite possibly already the best defender in the league and is still young. When you see a guy like Drinkwater go for £35m, £70m+ for VVD doesn't look so bad at all.

    I * respect Southhampton for this and not only this but when clubs where sniffing around van dijk and wanyama they were the ones who gaved the most money and correct me if I am wrong but the transfes were made without problems.

    VVD is a cracking player but sometimes the way he conducts himself in these situations is not good, it was similar when he wanted away from here, look like he was half arsing it at the start of the season, it left a sour taste in my mouth as I expected a bit more class from him, now seeing him pull the same * with Southampton just means its the man, if you want to leave have a bit of class about it and keep it internal and stay professional.
