    From what I've seen he hasn't even been tested by other players in the epl.

    All he had said is the english game is faster.

    I hate it when ex players slag of the Scottish game, Matthews did it too and he cant get a game for Sunderland.

    To be fair Everton would probably control games against * like Dundee and St Mirren as well. :smiley-laughing002:

    It's funny. In a league with a few English managers and a majority of foreign players they still play football like they did in the 70s and 80s - all running.

    It's a bit of a joke comment from him the only difference between him now and 2 months ago is he's started 5 EPL games he isn't a better player all of a sudden he's as good for them as he was for us

    Is this the same VVD that was sent off in the San Siro and potentially cost us the game? Or the same VVD that was apart of our shambolic defensive display against Malmo?

    Yes he is learning more because he has more defending to do on a game by game basis but he should be keeping his comments to himself because he was vastly overated when he played for us.

    So in 4 games with Southampton, Virgil has noticed the difference and has learned more from this than what he's played against with us on a domestic level. Given he's faced two of the bigger teams he will play this season and played against the likes of Rooney, Martial, Hazard, Costa, Mata, Schweinstiger and a few others. I would be more surprised if he hadn't.

    Love the faux outrage from guys like Michael Gannon and Co in the SM,who on a regular basis for the last 3 to 4 years have belittled Scottish Football and any of Celtic's achievements by claiming a non-entity not being present makes it easy for us.

    So an EPL club paid millions for a guy that they have to teach how to play football... i wonder how much they would be willing to pay for some of our players if we could actually manage to teach them ourselves

    hope we have a good sell on clause as VVD will obviously go for a much larger fee now that an english club is actually willing to teach him how to play the game
