    Great player. I was not really impressed with him on his debut against Karagandy (I know that he was coming back from injury), but since then he's been great.

    VVD is a * beast, all the makings of a top centre half :50:

    The early slide tackle where he came in and dispossessed Neymar (think it was that wee rat anyway) in the box was class, really stamped his authority on the occasion early on and never put a foot wrong for the rest of the night.

    Wilson was good but limited, which is why he went to the Championship. Virgil is immense and, dare I say it, looks like he will be better than anything we have had in a long, long time. He is a tank who can play football, is good in the air and with both feet. If keeps this up for the rest of the CL, and then does well with us for the next 12 months or so I cannot see him staying here for much longer than 2 years because the money offered for him will be too good to turn down.

    I had high hopes for this guy, and he is proving me right. I think he looks fantastic, especially considering the age of him. He will only get better, the longer he is here. Ambrose has benefited by playing beside him as well I think.

    I know it's early days but Virgil already looks like one of the best signings under Lennon for me. He's a big reliable presence at the back and long may these performances from him continue.

    Him and Efe compliment each other very well.
    Ambrose can dribble with the best of them but is * scared of the ball in the air, whereas Van Dijk bullies the opposition and deals with the aerial threat.

    Big Van Dijk's reputation just continues to grow. I find myself trying to not get too carried away with praise for him given how young he is and how he only has just joined us. But really I think we have found an absolute gem in Van Dijk.
