    Re: the notion he will get found out in the EPL;

He is a technically sound player, comfortable with the ball at his feet. He is aerially dominant. He is tall and physically imposing. huge boxes ticked already.

He will be surrounded around better players, which ever team he signs for.

He will break the Holland team and his development will progress.

He could easily play center midfield.

Some are saying he has been found out in europe. The way i see it is things would have been a lot worse for us had we not had him.
Iv never seen a player with such a skillset and as consistent domestically.

He should have burst his gut last night as a parting gesture to the club that brought him to prominence.

My view? He didn't do that...

Thats eaily said. But it isnt as black and white as a corrolation between what we achieve as a team and Van Djiks ability as an indivudual.
There are 10 other players on that park, each of whom of different ability levels. So many variables.
Again, i will retort, what would have been without Van Djik? Would you suggest we would have done better had Denayer stayed and Van Djik left? I do not believe that to be the case.

Remember Wilson played under a different system. He is harldy receiving rave reviews at Notts Forrest. You need put things into context.

For me Virgil will flourish in the EPL. If it wasn't for him in certain games we would have lost. When you look at some of the dross that play centre half in the EPL , Virgil will do well ! Smalling and Jones at Manure , Mangala at Man City are some who spring to mind !

But aye, we need to make up the £13 million drop in revenue from not making champions league so VVD needs to be sold. Anything over 8 and we can't turn it down.

Was reading the article on BBC sport that said it was about 13M at a rough estimate.

But if it is the 20M that you say then last night was even worse than i had first thought.

If we'd have gotten through, our revenue would have cleared £80m, our highest ever.

    Aye, probably about £20million.

I calculated it a few weeks ago...

This is what we're looking at money wise:

    Champions League Qualification:
    £1.4million for winning the play-off
£8.4million for qualifying for the Groups
+ TV Money (probably around £11million)
+ Ticket Sales (probably around £4.5million)
+ £1million per win or £350k per draw

So at least £25million if we qualify for the Champions League.

    Europa League Qualification:
    £2.1million for losing the play-off
£1.7million for qualifying for the Groups
+ TV Money (probably around £700k)
    + Ticket Sales ( Probably around £2million)
+ £250k per win or £80k per draw

At least £6.5million if we end up in the Europa League.

Closest estimate would probably be £27million Champions League and £7million Europa League.

Although in the Europa we might get through to the next round.

Actually the Europa is slightly more than I said before, we actually get £1million TV money not £700k and we also get £183k for not getting into the CL Groups as a Champion.

So Europa League is atleast £7million then any potential win bonuses and you also get £183k if you are runner-up or £365k if you win your group.

So this is the revised version...

This is what we're looking at money wise:

    Champions League Qualification:
    £1.4million for winning the play-off
£8.4million for qualifying for the Groups
+ TV Money (probably around £11million)
+ Ticket Sales (probably around £4.5million)
+ £1million per win or £350k per draw

So at least £25million if we qualify for the Champions League.

    Europa League Qualification:
    £2.1million for losing the play-off
£183k for not making the CL Groups as a Champions of our country
£1.7million for qualifying for the Groups
+ TV Money (probably around £1.3million)
    + Ticket Sales ( Probably around £2million)
+ £250k per win or £80k per draw
    + £365k as a Group Winner or £183k as a Runner-up

At least £7million if we end up in the Europa League.

If we get like 8 points which managed to be 2nd and go through then we'd roughly have got £8.1million + then the ticketsales of the Last 32 game which may add another £1million if we can get a full house.
