    Think he's a decent player but nowhere near as good as we make out. I genuinely think Kelvin Wilson was a much better defender than Van Dijk (Wilsons 2nd season)

    I think he has looked outstanding domestically, especially playing alongside Denayer, but I'm afraid in Europe he has been made to look average.

    Yup - he's good on a domestic level for us... but is his domestic worth to us really £10 million?

    Of course not.

    So it makes sense to cash him in while the offer is still there from Southampton and go fishing for a new CB.

    There probably is the issue he doesn't play against strikers like Rosenberg every week, the step up from SPL to CL is huge even for the qualifying. He needs a move if he wants to improve.

    If we get 12m+ for him that'll make up for some CL cash cause he has been a non event in the CL even against a average side such as Malmo who scored countless corners against us.

    I don't understand why we will get 12.5 million for him. He's done * all in Europe, Wanyama put Barcelona to the sword and played superb in the big European games.
