We're not going to get add ons at all.

How much can your Everton's and Southamptons really sell a player for? £30m max.

If they pay us say £13m, then give us 20% that's like £19m (if they were able to shift for £30m). Leaving them with £11m profit. That is in the wildest dreams scenario - it wouldn't happen.

We'll get £12m tops for VVD.

Aye... VVD is better in defence

Wanyama is better in Midfield. Comparing the two, like you did, is a bit daft.

Hoping we get £10 million plus for the big guy and I'll be sad to see him leave.

It's easy to see why folk compare the two though. Both absolute monsters who stroll through games.

I reckon VVD would be just as at home in Wanyama's position though. Whereas if it's the other way round Vic clearly wasn't as strong at CB.

What's his contract situation? Summer 2017?

Possibly keep him one more head and sell for half the price? Chances are slim to none but would be worth it.

    Edit: Summer 2017

Why does that mean Everton could outbid Southampton?

If we follow through that logic then... Southampton this summer sold Schneiderlin & Clyne for a total of £37.5m.

Everton wouldn't even get £30m for Stones, as a % of it would goto Barnsley.

Agreed. Southampton have made a killing on player sales over the last few seasons (especially to Liverpool) and they have spent very shrewdly when replacing players. They will be sitting on a pretty bank balance at this moment in time.
Iv said before, ill say again. I will be extremely surprised if VVD doesnt end up at Southampton at the end of this window. If he doesnt and puts in a good champions league performance (provided we get there) he could end up getting an even bigger move.

The absolute worst thing about seemingly becoming Southampton's feeder club is that you're going to be back on this forum every single summer explaining why Southampton is the best place for our latest talent to go, aren't you? :smiley-laughing002:

Amazing that a wee mickey mouse team like Southampton are dealing in that kind of cash. The world's gone mad - facking Sky TV :38: :38:

130 years of history and they've won the FA cup once and never won the league. They all bleat down here that Liverpool keep coming to nick their best players whilst carefully forgetting that they're doing the same to us. Enjoy it while you can, the bubble must burst soon.

I wonder if the 'hefty' owner will get bored and take all her money away?

I wonder if Wanyama & Forster enjoy playing their home matches at a stadium half the size of ours? (when I went there it was only about two thirds full).

Could be worse. Given the Sterling transfer, if Suarez had gone to City instead of Barça last year, we'd be City's feeder club's feeder club's feeder club. :54:

As long as the cash keeps flowing and the buyer is happy with the product, everybody happy :)
