    Southampton jut lost a center back to injury, Gardos i think. So far they have not replaced Toby Alderweireld. the stars have aligned for the move.

    that being said, i genuinely think van gaal could do a lot worse than sign van djik

    I'll be gutted to lose Virgil, but hopefully we get a bid war between Southampton and Everton on the go.. would prefer he went to Southampton, just to see him Wanyama and Forster in the same team.. Pity it didn't happen with us but :54:

    I wouldn't mind if he went to Everton if he has to leave in the end. It's utterly depressing watching fans of teams like * Norwich and Sunderland saying their team should 'risk' signing him from the Scottish Premiership though. Stuff like that just fuels my hatred for that league and the self entitlement of it's supporters

    Probably asked a question on what stadium he would like his team to play in and they've made a whole story out of it.

    No way would Ronny be so arrogant with 4 games still to play to even get to the group stages.

    Everton would be a great move for Van Dijk and a good sized club for him. If I was him though I think id go to Southampton. Obviously Everton are bigger than Southampton but there is something to like about how Southampton go about their business and with the strong ex Celtic Contingency (i think thats how you spell it lol) then it would be a good move. Would love to see Wanyama and Van Dijk in the one team. Almost reminds me of the gladiators (tv program) scenario were as you would get past Wanyama then youd have to deal with Van Dijk.

    Does anyone else think we could get more than 10 million? In today's market I would say he is maybe a 15 mil player, but we probably wouldn't get that for him.

    A bidding war would be great, I'm resigned to him leaving so would be nice to get a fair whack for him.

    We should. I'm not holding my breath, however. If a bidding war does in fact start up then you never know, though. It would certainly be deserved if the figure does hit that mark.
