Don't buy it all you want. He wanted to stay here, we refused to talk to his agent for ages, then had a paltry couple of weeks talk and then accepted a bid for him. Ledley says as soon as a club accepts a bid for you you're not wanted.

Even his first interview for Crystal Palace was saying he never expected to go. He said he was wanting to stay the full time.

He wanted to be here. We * up.

Southampton can have him if they cough up the same sort of figures they did for Vic.

    Bournemouth can * up.

Well naw he never obviously. Ledley wanted a new deal, the board wouldnt give him what he deserved (IMO) then accepted a pish offer from Palace and he was left with no choice.

It's all come down money with Pete.
We didn't sign vossen cause he probably wanted 20k or 25k a week
we sign ciftci cause he accept 8k a week.
if we offered ledley or van dilk 25k a week. They would signed new contract. Same hooper.
Celtic never move forward with Pete only allowing small wages.
Let hope vossen doesn't do well in epl and make us jealous off what we could had.

I don't think VVD is in it for the money just now. It's his career. He'l think he has to play in the EPL to improve himself.

Going to a mid-table Premiership team is a sideway step but ultimately it would probably lead to a more upwards.

Plus Bournemouth have the same amount of money available as what the rest do with their T.V. contract - the owner isn't doing anything new. They seem to be buying * if Im honest. Doubt he'd go there.

Hes a lot better than Bournemouth. I still strongly think he will end up at Southampton but i think that hed form a solid partnership with Ashley Williams if he went to Swansea.

This is the reality of were Scottish football is. We cannot compete financially with teams like Bournemouth, Burnley, Hull, Norwich anymore. We may have a BIG support but our a long way behind English teams. Sky & BT have wrecked us

I really couldn't give a monkey's fuckbag who Virgil eventually goes to, so long as we at least get £10m+ for him.

We were never in for Vossen though how many times does this need to be said?
People still don't realise about living within our means? Can't just go around handing everyone 25K per week when there is just as good and capable players that will be on less. It's a buisiness for a reason and if it means long term financial security then it's fine by me, championship teams could offer players 50K.

Hooper left for england caps....he said this was the case.
Ledley had months to sign a new contract...but the same day a epl club makes a offer he is down there and signed for them in 8 hrs.....didnt look like he wanted to be here any longer.

VVD has said he wants to leave, and he has been saying it for a long time....again this is not the actions of someone who just wants more money.

You forget one wee problem....what if half the players who leave.....want to leave.

Not much we can do about it then....everyone seems to think the only time players leave is when the board * them in the * over contracts.

Can't sign anything that hasn't been put down to you on the table. Ledley wanted to be here.

Was a massive fan of Ledley during his time at Celtic but there was no way he was signing a new contract. Claimed he was going to sign a new contract the day after Celtic accepted a bid from Crystal palace. A contract offer that had been on the table for 6 months.

VVD will not sign another contract with Celtic. Even if he was offered the upper end of our wage structure £25k Lee week.
