If we don't make the group stage the. He will be gone ASAP. But if we do make the last 16 we need to offer him better deal cause he has two years left and the board better not * drop the ball like they did with Hooper and Ledley.

even if we get to the last 16 I say sell in January, we will probably get about £2 or £3 million less waiting till the summer, we waited for hooper and he didnt make a difference against Juventus

I don't buy that. He definitely wanted to leave and used it as a weak excuse.

Perhaps he wasn't actively looking to go, but if he had really wanted to stay here long term then he'd still be here.
