He was great yesterday, think he won every single ball he went for. Also very good on the ball, can run with it, pass it and hit a good shot. Like that he isn't scared to pass it out of the defence, rather than just lump it up the park to nobody.

Maybe the GB should ask for a move......

Could be great for the game... they move behind the goals and the Polis get lined up facing the GB.......... then encourage Virgil to shoot on site.

cops might not be so FOCUSED on the GB during the match :56:

Can see this guy getting better and better.

Still needs time to find his feet here.

Look forward to him in Europe.

A good signing unlike others who I can see being a real game changer.

It looks like he loves to get forward too, judging by his performance yesterday.

Like Ambrose with more defensive ability and a better finish :50:

Won't immediately fill Wilson's shoes but in time I think he can be our best defender.

Said it before and shall say so again: he has all the attributes to be a top central defender - top as in Kompany top not Wilson top.

We'll probably only have him for 3 years at the most but I think he will be an absolutely cracking player when he's 27/28.

Shame the usual numpties in our support wrote him off after one poor game vs the Kazakhs.

Anyone think its a wee bit worrying that Lennon said he'll do the job at SPFL level?

"Van Dijk, once he’s played 10 games or so, will get the pace of the game. At SPFL level, he will be an excellent acquisition."

90% of our games are at that level, so no, not worried.

Only if Wilson and him had been at the back this season would have been solid

I took that to mean the exact opposite of what you appear to have i.e. he has the quality to be a stand out in Scottish football.

Yeah, to be fair I don't think he meant it along the lines of "but by * he will be gangrenously * at any reasonably decent level of football......in the CL the * will make sure we concede 8."

Precisely. And that's at the age of 21. With European experience he could grow into a top class defender.
