    Has anybody noticed a big change in his attitude this season? He looks to be a real team player and has taken to celtic a lot more than before you can see how annoyed he is after a mistake or if we don't get a result . Seems to be a lot more together with the team even after he scores he celebrates with a bit of passion hope I'm not wrong but i could see him here next year

    Two belters in the same week. Seen a few people saying it now and it's a fair point, why is he being overlooked for POTY? He's the best player in the country by a distance.

    I'd say he's been the best domestically but when you factor in Europe as well, I'd definitely give it to Broony.

    If he hits the target with the free kick, it's always going to be difficult for the keeper to stop due the sheer power he puts on it. To get it up and over the wall with that amount of power is impressive.

    As much as I agree that is Virgil's level, I'm not sure he'd get a move straight to one of those clubs. They have a tendency to look down their noses at our players, the perfect example being how desperately Arsenal needed a player of Wanyama's ilk but didn't sign him. Now that he is proven at Southampton, Arsenal will go in and spend close to double what Southampton paid for him to sign him.

    Still, I'm hoping Van Dijk is here next season and hope the board have the balls to refuse to sell him unless a mammoth bid comes in.

    It's purely down to attitude with Virgil, when he's switched on and focused (like now), he's a top player. We're seeing the benefits of it. When he's not and his heads elsewhere, it's very noticeable, his drop in form..

    Wonder free kick, should be hitting all from just outside the box..

    That's his transfer fee rising every time he bangs a free-kick in. Quality player. He should really be going for the very least £10m. £15m would be quality. Though saying that, we need to spend that money and buy some decent players otherwise it doesn't matter if we make £100m off player sales.
