    Our best player by a country mile full stop , has far more pedigree and quality than anybody else in Scottish football. Will be near impossible to replace.

    He's been our best player by far for two years, madness really that he didnt win POTY last year and probably wont this year.

    Caldwell and Weir won POTY when them two combined arent half as good lol

    Was the same when Wanyama didnt win YPOTY in his first season despite being a million miles ahead of everycunt else.

    POTY are usually given to players who have performed above their average level. Think Van Dijk and Wanyama were hampered by always being too good, so you only really notice them if they have a bad game.

    Good point on last year Commons was an absolute sensation and that goal tally speaks for itself . This year though Van Dijk deserves it , nobody has had a particularly stand out year to deny him his award .

    Agree though Van Djik was fantastic last year as well. As he has been again this season. Am no sure who'll win it this year but I'd be happy with either Van Djik Johansen or Gordon.

    A think Denayer is a stick on for young player of the year though.

    Only thing against him is that he has a right go at players when they * up. Thats something you learn not to do in sport from a young age. It does more harm than good.
