    Surely if Van Dijk and Denayer go they will be considered the best centre back pairing that we have had for a good few years. (even though they only played together a year)

    Holland have always had some weird selections.

    Remember Edson Braafheid coming on in the World Cup final after sitting on our bench all season. Didn't follow Iniesta's run and therefore was basically at fault for the goal/losing the World Cup :56:

    What is people's mad obsession with trying to turn our defenders into midfielders. Seems like every CB we get that can also pass people want to give him a shot at DM.

    I watched the press conference with Van Dijk yesterday - don't know how he kept his calm, I would have been furious. Journalists kept badgering him with questions about him not being called up to the Holland squad and his plans for next year. Infuriating.
