Think the guy is over rated by to many fans.

Looks the part in the splfplf strolling about like *, but in europe he does not look so hot.

We will be luck to get over 5 mill for the guy.

I thought he played well , Icardi was in his back pocket.. Just ashame when he gets rid of one poor defender he still has to cover Izzy everytime.

He was poor enough last night if truth be told. We still need him though. Dont even think about selling him until our European fate is decided next summer.

I think Denayer is the better defender Van Dijk is the better footballer

I seen the first goal coming before the rest of the stadium last night, I think. How someone with his 'quality' can just stand and ball watch with the winger in space behind him pointing where he wants it and didn't have the know-how to see it is beyond me.

That's the way our formation and Ronny wants us to attack

Not saying he was crap last night, he did good but he is not as "world class" as he looks in the spl. Hopefully he stays with us another season and gets used to playing in Europe and he will look the part in Europe too

I think the problem is he just coasts through domestic games so when a Red Bull or an Inter come along he can't get himself out of 1st gear, i just think his mentality needs worked on...

It was eerily similar to Juve's first goal when we lost 0-3 at home, felt like * de ja vu when it went in.

His concentration levels in Europe need to be questioned. He's a great young talent but needs to be more assertive at this level if he wants his big money move down south.

I really don't know what it is with him, he comes across as almost lazy or lethargic :54: in big games such as last night, I don't really understand it. I could if it was domestic games.

It's like he is half trying, when he gives the opposition space or just generally isn't busting a gut.

I love him, but that's my one thing with him, don't quite know how to describe it properly but there's just something around him which doesn't scream fully committed.

Although he wasn't bad last night, I did expect a heck of a lot more from him.

    * off £5m.

We turned down £3m for Ambrose, so you think they're equally as valuable?

The defence were holding a high line for the majority of the night. On the 1st goal and a few more times our defence was beaten with a pass over the top and into space. Even the 3rd goal was at source from a ball over the top.

We even done it to them on numerous occasions.

The way we play leaves us at risk to this very pass. On the other occasions we recovered and dealt with it. Thought Van Dijik and Denayer dealt well with Icardi, that well I hardly noticed him until he was subbed off. Palacio was exploiting the areas down the fullbacks,by dropping short and spinning out wide.

Izzy was at fault not VVD , watch the highlight and watch Izzy , he should be tracking his man instead of letting him run in blind side of VVD..

I thought he played really well last night, nobody really go the better of him, except that Shaqiri at the first goal but that was a good precise move from Inter and Gordon should have saved.

Nothing to do with attacking , Izzy was just too lazy to track his man.

I hope he stays too but I just cant see it.. Players come and go so he will be replaced like any other.. just like we lost Victor but now big Biton is looking the part.

He looks as if he loses his concentration a bit too much/easily.

Thought he did ok but it is evident he won't be going to any big side until he irons out his on field focus/attitude/lackadaisical problems.
