    VVD is definitely helping Denayer, again today you saw him talking him through periods of the game. A brilliant duo and if I were Man City I would consider buying VVD to play alongside Denayer. Kompany, VVD and Denayer as a back 3 that would take some beating.

    Just read an article asking whether he could 'make the step up to the almighty English prem'. Well considering you have Arsenal playing Monreal at centre half currently and duds like Blackett and Smalling playing for Man United...I have no doubts. They really are up themselves something rotten.

    The only side I don't think he could walk into would perhaps be Chelsea, that's only because Terry-Cahill are so comfortable with each other. Liverpool, United, City, Spurs, Arsenal...Van Dijk could play for them all.

    I thought they might have had a bit more belief in our players to make it down there after the revelations that are Forster and Wanyama.

    I often have a sly chug over the thought of him and Wanyama in the same side.:56:

    Completely oozes class, haven't seen a more accomplished all rounded centre back at Celtic. No situation seems to phase him either.

    Really hope he plays for the Netherlands in these upcoming games, he deserves a cap.

    Just had a look and Virgil hasn't actually been called up by the Netherlands for their upcoming games, what a pointless last call up that turned out to be.

    He seemingly only made the 'preliminary' squad for this selection, embarrassing.

    Cant praise him enough , got to be the best defender i have seen here in my lifetime (yes that includes mjallby and valgaren) , some may see it as OTT , but i honestly believe he is that good. Never seen him get skinned ? Never seen him beaten in the air one on one? Never even seen him fail to dribble round someone , he looks like he could run the ball through the whole opposition , and he has done a few times. His distribution is good, and he oozes class and confidence. His positional play and concentration may be the only question marks but its still pretty good . I think he may end up at a Madrid one day , whoever gets him will be very lucky .

    he is better than all of them and im not just saying that because he plays here either their defence has been * for a number of years and the big man could make a difference.

    This kid will be world class! So many teams need a class Centre Back at the moment, Man Utd & Arsenal to name just two.

    We did well to keep hold of him last summer, I think it would be almost impossible to keep him for another year.
