    Switched off at their goal, he should have anticipated their player winning the header and the ball coming back across the goal.

    I think that was Denayer. He fooled a couple of on rushing foes before passing the ball out to Izzy on the left.

    Had no idea it was Denayer heh. Guess it can be hard to tell them apart. Plus a move like that, you'd expect from Virgil.

    I actually just fired up the DVR to find that passage of play, and low and behold, after Denayer makes the move, the announcer proceeded to say, and I quote: "Virgil Van Dijk. I would imagine the confidence is up, given he was linked with some top Premier League clubs. He did want to go, he was put away from the side, now he's back into the team." [This was the Fox Sports 2 broadcast in the US]

    It was, in fact, Denayer. Thus, I blame the announcer, with an assist from my eyes, for deceiving me!

    I just started an Instagram account, CELTIC_CLIPS, and uploaded the move I'm talking about. If anyone is savvy enough to upload from there onto here, I'd love to know how.

    We'd be a * of alot worse off without him, I'd rather an unhappy Van Dijk than a happy as larry, stoned out his mind Ambrose anyway.

    Some Man United fans reactions to Pat Nevin claiming Van Gaal should go for Virgil to sort out their defensive problems.

    "Who?"

    "If we are going to buy a defender we might as well buy someone who will actually improve us. Van Dijk doesn't fit the bill."

    "I haven't seen much of him at all but I don't think another young defender is what we need. Fair enough if they were supremely talented with bucket loads of potential, however, I'd rather have someone much more experienced to sort our current problems even if they're not necessarily regarded as top drawer."

    "Decent player but not united quality. Denayer has looked decent as well for Celtic and he's only on loan from City. I don't think there's a single Celtic player that is good enough for us."

    "Would prefer Vlaar as he's Premier League proven. Would van Dijk be an improvement on our current options? I don't think so."

    "LvG didn't take him to the WC over the likes of Indi, Kongolo etc... Why would he sign him now? Oh, and he isn't good enough. Forgot that part."
