    i reckon he's a goner, but we're gonna get wanyama type money for him. board playing this well i think. think ee might actually see some good movement in with this offsetting the cost. or worst case scenario he doesn't get away, strikes for every game but europa and gone at Xmas. but i think the former...

    I'll be very surprised if he goes anywhere now, there's not even been any concrete bids made for him today.

    Probably get a few more months out of him and sell him in January.

    Hate to say it but he's far too good to be here. He's the best centre half I've seen since the MON days, he sticks out like a sore thumb. Him and Lustig are so far ahead of anybody else here it's unreal. Can't blame the big guy for wanting to leave.

    He won't go but his attitude is totally disrespectful and he should be punted purely down to trying to force a move by come and get me pleas in every interview and throwing his toys out the pram with ronny ..

    Only a year where he's won a title and competed in the champions league group stages and now earned a national call up and he's acting up like this, * him and every other player who thinks they are bigger than the club and disrespect it and its supporters, no one is..

    Personally I'm delighted the club is keeping hold for another year. Looking to leave at 12 months is ridiculous. Celtic should never be dictated to be players. So he can have his tantrum, get it out of his system. Then he will be reminded he is under contract and is being paid £Xk per week to perform. The call up is great, hopefully he gets his head right, and plays well and adds to his value.

    Who said he's not for sale at any price? If it was just Deila, you might be right; if it was Lawwell, he's going nowhere until Christmas. It'd be the end for Lawwell otherwise and he's too smart not to see it.

    No matter how positive a situation is we will always get at least one negative , he is only staying to January . How does anyone know this , none of us have any special links , just some want to put a negative side to a good story . Ronny or whoever standing firm on a player who had the cheek to want to leave after just one year of a four year contract . Virgil is NOT too good for Celtic . We have had a number of players as good or better over the last ten years , but he is Dutch so an attitude is almost inevitable .

    If he plays rubbish this season then no one will want him and he will have to stay.

    I have been saying all week we would not sell him. Ironically if we had qualified for the CL I think we would have sold him. Non qualification made it more difficult for PL to cash in.

    He's probably the most gutted person in Glasgow right now, just hope he accepts it and gets his head down as he's looked out of it so far this season, not as imperious at the back, not bursting forward as much (granted he was getting zero protection from midfield) and generally playing as * as his colleagues.
