We may well have a back up plan but this * has really * us over,he could have just said no at the start and maybe saved us days or weeks of running round trying to get it done.

Have these numties running this Club any idea what sort of PR exposure we're getting. We can't get the ones we want into the Club even though we do everything but a DNA test and once we do get them -

'yep know how we sold the idea to you and know there's interest from EPL and know you're your bitter but that was then and this is now.....trust us.'

In some ways I agree. It's also pretty * keeping him when he's clearly twice as good as any of the * he's playing with or against.

I kind of worry though that Lawwell is just using Van Dijk for PR in case he has to paper over any cracks. If we * up today and come out the window worse than we went in, he and Deila can try and sweeten us with "we managed to keep Virgil Van Dijk". He's the one player of genuine quality that actually excites the fans. If he goes, the heat's back on twice as much as it was last week.

If we manage to sign anyone of note then I reckon he'll be gone by tomorrow. If we don't, a very unhappy Van Dijk will still be here.
