Not trying to be negative here, but what exactly from this article makes you like this chap? If it's what he's said then I can't see why; Danny Fox said basically the same thing when he signed for us - as have most players who have signed for us, and as do most players who sign for any team really. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to have won the race for Wanyama, I just think that people are jumping the gun on this bhoy a little too quickly.

I think we will still play 442 for most of the spl games. Being away in Europe it could be good having an 5 man midfield with 2 dm's for extra cover for when our wing backs bomb forward.

    He'll gain the experience.

Lenny will give it, by bringing him off the bench.

    Lol.

Seems to have not been mentioned, but this seems to symbolise (to me anyway) that Brown will be staying out on the right wing, even when Kayal is unavailable, which can only be a goodthing, aswell as Victor's role in a 5 man midfield

Same goes for a lot of players we have signed throughout the years. How many of us had seen Larsson, Lubo, or even more recently, how many of us had saw Kayal, Izzy, etc play before they came to Parkhead ? I honestly can't say that I have saw Wanyama play, but I have read reports on him, and from what I have read, I'm excited about seeing this guy in the hoops. He might turn out a fudd for all we know, but the proofs in giving him the platform to strut his skills for us. We have secured some big named players in the past, players who had a shinning pedigree, ie, Juhinho, Berkovitch, Ljundberg etc to name a few, and performance wise the done * all on the pitch for us. If this guy Wanyama has the skills that we are led to believe he has, then why should we let his age deter him from getting the chance to shine in our first team ? Up till I am proved wrong, I welcome the guy onboard. :50:

Me too got l feeling about this lad. But i tell you what makes me laught a little, is the fact that when supporters see a you tube video of a player that we are linked with then the comments start lol "these you tube videos make any body look good" just saying lets have faith and support all our new signings hail hail.

You don't make a very compelling counterpoint. My point was that people were getting too excited about Wanyama - they're already considering him to be a part of a midfield that did so well last year. That didn't really happen too much with the likes of the players you mentioned. Like I said, I believe he was signed for development, i.e. "giving him the platform to strut his skills for us". However, when you say "led to believe", then you admit that you're allowing others to influence your feelings on the guy - not something I'd advocate, personally. I'd rather welcome the guy on board (which I have) but reserve my judgement, and my placement of him in our starting line up, until I actually see him play, instead of what I've read. I never said the boy shouldn't get his chance, my post was targeted at those who were putting Wanyama into the starting line-up without ever having seen him play, and was not targeted at curbing Wanyama's playing time or placement into a starting-11 based on age or otherwise.

Larsson is maybe shouldn't be in that list, remember he has played for Sweden throughout the world cup in 1994 when they came third. So i remember him well, took his goal well was either 2nd or 3rd goal for sweden against bulgaria. Maybe didn't realise how great he would become but still looked good
