Can't see anything on youtube about the boy. Looks like a numbers of clubs want him so that has to be good. He's not sighted yet so no point says too much at this stage until the ink is dry, just look at them across the city, lol. Fingers crossed we do get him.

This is indeed a good signing ....as mentionned already before ...several teams in Belgium were behind him as well (specialy Standard).
If he gets the chance to get into the team ...it'll be hard to keep him out !

if signed i hope he'll have an impact more like Kayal than Sno...
in saying that our scouting network has been excellent over the last 12 months so i've great faith in this signing...if it happens!

If we can believe him ....he seems very much intrested. And I don't think we take any risk by paying £1M for a good young talent. His still got his best times on front of him.

i view Ki more of a replacement for Ledley or even Commons. he isn't the tough tackler Kayal is and from reports, Wanyama is.

Ki is going to be a good one for sure, this is the best Celtic midfield I've ever seen and we're still adding, great to see us bring in youth as well, happy days :celt_2:. If only we can get a good keeper in now, maybe a CB and lenny seems to want another CF.

Ki's tackling has improved a good amount over this season but I agree yes, it's him and Ledley fighting to line up next to Kayal, not fighting for Kayal's place, I'd trust him to cover for a game or two just fine like if Kayal got suspended, but we need a more defensive player to cover for him should he be out long term again or is sold on, but lets hope that doesn't happen for a longggggg time.

no one said he was and i also find it hard to believe that ki only has 2 games in him playing defensively in midfield.

we're not saying Ki isn't a good player but he isn't a straight swap for Kayal. he would be a better option for cover of Ledley or Commons.

never seen ki play on the left wing tbh so cant compare him to commons and id bet money that the tackles to game ratio between kayal and ledley isnt that big of a difference.

id put ki in kayals place any day of the week over some kid 99.9% of celtic havent seen play, cant wait to see him play as im all for young talent too.

Celtic set to beat competition from Rangers and sign young Kenyan star Victor Wanyama

Jun 28 2011 By Alan Marshall
CELTIC are poised to pip Rangers in the race for highly-rated midfield kid Victor Wanyama.
The 20-year-old Kenyan has agreed personal terms and the Parkhead outfit are expected to conclude a deal with his current club, Belgians Germinal Beerschot, in the next 48 hours.
Rangers had been tracking the rising star along with Standard Liege, Racing Genk and Aston Villa.
Wanyama, who is the brother of Inter Milan's McDonald Mariga, last night confirmed he is ready to switch to Glasgow and said: "I am extremely excited - Celtic is a legendary club.
"I am looking forward to this, I have had a great time with Germinal and I look forward to the next chapter of my career at Celtic."
The player made his debut for Kenya aged just 15 in a friendly against Nigeria and already features regularly in the international squad.
As a result, Wanyama's application for a work permit to play in Scotland is almost certain to be granted.

i wouldn't describe Commons as a winger. he floats inwards and that's where i think Ki could have a lot of joy with his range of passes.

all i'm saying is that whenever Kayal is out we become too attacking. if we sign this kid, perhaps the problem will be resolved.
