Why are we failing to move? Its naive to think we are the only club looking at these players.

Yes, but they still use Rosshall Hospital for all medicals.

Spoke with Wanyama's agent. Told me that Wanyama wants to sign but it is down to Celtic to make it happen. He finished by saying "Agents will always be the bad guyz remember..."

i know we're not the only clubs looking at these players hence why the names i have said are at other clubs. my point is i do not want to miss out on players that could do a great job here.

I think we really need to get this guy, we need more physicality in the team & he's a * monster!

Left footed too, which gives a great balance to a 5 man midfield.

Well within budget too & good re-sale value, for when he gets too big for the League - which he will.

Really good comment on the radio the other evening about signing players by the Blackpool chairman. He said that they wouldnt be in a hurry to sign anyone too soon as it was a buyers market and there were hundreds of players in England being freed and looking for clubs and thousands all over Europe.

On this occasion it might make sense to not rush out and buy anyone, but to be patient and try to unearth some gems.

some good news. according to kenyan papers it is impossible for him to join any epl side given their cut off for international sides below 70 in the rankings. kenya are 123rd so theres no way he can sign for villa, Newcastle or Birmingham. :50:

'But with England insisting on the cut off mark of Top 70 in the Fifa rankings, Scotland looks the more likely destination for the midfield enforcer'

This is one guy that I really want us to bring in. It'd be terrible if he joined The Huns over us, but I don't see that happening anyway.

Where is the hype over this lad coming from? It does sound promising and for such a cheap price.

Celtic are closing in on the signing of midfield starlet Victor Wanyama, skysports.com can confirm.

We can reveal that the 20-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Glasgow giants.

Celtic are now set to beat the likes of Standard Liege, Racing Genk, rivals Rangers and Aston Villato his signature.

The Bhoys are now finalising the deal, believed to be worth around £1million, with the player's club Germinal Beerschot and the transfer could be concluded within 48 hours.

Speaking to skysports.com, the player confirmed that he was ready to make the move to Parkhead.

"I am extremely excited, Celtic is a legendary club," he revealed.

"I am looking forward to this, I have had a great time with GBA, and I look forward to the next chapter of my career at Celtic."

The 20-year-old Kenyan is the brother of Inter Milan star McDonald Mariga, and made his international debut in an unofficial friendly against Nigeria, aged just 15.

    Exellent news, thanks mate!

I said when we were first linked that we didn't need him, but I take that back as I think we could do with another fighter in the middle of the park, especially when Kayal's not available. Will be interesting to see if he will be a back up of a first team option, can't see Ledley commons or brown being dropped.

Aint seen the lad play but everyone seems to think that he is some prospect. Dont think he would be a starter but as you said, good back up for Kayal.
