Like most on here , When Vic leaves I want Celtic to get as much money for him as possible. We will all wish Vic all the best in his career, although he wont need much luck, as we all know, he is going to be a massive asset for any club too have. He will cost the next club far more in a transfer fee. Ideally I want to keep him, but unless he sign's an extension, the amount of money on offer will reduce so I reckon it's sign extension or it's time to leave ;-(.
Once he does go, I hope at his next club he does choose "67" and goes on to always have that number for the rest of his career :shamrock:

Wouldn't surprise me if it's a huge chunk up front.... which in the days of clubs like Rangers and filthy dirty cheating vile Portsmouth going bust and buying players without any money...is probably very valuable.

I'm not going to argue over bigger club, league champions league blah blah blah.... We have found ourselves filthy rich recently with the backing of a very very rich family (think it put us 4th in the country behind Man U Man city and spurs) ... Our chairman is a visionary and seems to be able to sell our vision to these very good, young and determined players... And then try join us as part of the ride... If it doesn't work out, they'll leave after a couple of years, still be early 20's and we'll get our investment back no doubt.

It may be a surprise to some of you that Wanyama would come here... But it isn't to any of us at all... We had very similar with Ramirez last year with the whole football world saying he won't ever come to a club like Southampton... Especially bidding against Liverpool and Italian clubs...£15 million and 70 grand a week and he's ours. This is no different really.

Just signed a very promising centre back for £8.5 million. The money is there (We gave Rangers a million quid out of principle for Steven Davis when we could have got him for nothing when he walked out) and more importantly we are genuinely looking upwards and the potential is unknown but it's exciting.

Some of you seem very rational and reasoned with your posts others talk utter b0llocks... But thn we get that on our boards too... Some people on ours have never heard of Vic. I follow Celtic as my second team so I am well aware of how good he is and will be.

There is no reason at all why he shouldn't come here... If he uses us as a stepping stone, so be it... He may stay for longer and help develop our long term goals into reality.

If goes for £10 million I doubt they'll be many more season tickets bought.

Lawell and co will have a jolly old time with that money.

ten millions a lot of money these days remember when we sold mcgeady for 9.5 it bought neil lennon a full first team full of players.if it wasnt for that money we wouldnt have had kayal,hooper,stokes,izaguirre,mulgrew.10m millions brilliant money in this day and age.it would be daft not to accept,if another club doesnt make a bigger offer there obviously not interested enough, why wait for a bid that might never come,if arsenal want him thell make a move soon before southampton get im.

If this is true, then it's a symptom of the world we live in unfortunately.. Let's be honest, How many players are going to turn down the lure of the EPL nowadays?? Too big! Too much money! Audiences from around the world...

You can get very rich, and famous, very quickly in football today...

buying for cheap and selling for a large fee is the best way to run a club these days, people shouldnt be surprised by this.now its time to find a cheap replacement or for someone to step up so we can repeat the cycle.

Celtic should stall with Southampton to see if a bigger team comes in with a higher bid .
