Highlighting how views have changed on the Wanyama transfer to Southampton, matching many of the stages in this model.

Remind me to send you these when you get relegated. Could be useful for coming to terms with life without Murdoch's dirty money underpinning your football club :50:

Denial - that he'd want to join Southampton

Anger - that he'd leave for a "diddy club" for a mere £12m

Acceptance - that he is now going

    Nope, nope and yes.

2 out of three ain't bad. We've known Wanyama was going since about January when he refused to sign a contract.

Southampton get the Murdoch money along with all the other Premier League clubs, it is not solely that which is giving Southampton an advantage.

I don't mind Southampton. But i'm actually starting to hope they go down now. Just because of Ted. If Wanyama wants to go to a small club like Southampton for a bit extra cash, then so be it. We have lost better players over the years and have come through it now problem. Of course he will be a miss, he is a very good player, but for £12million, he had to go. It's a good deal for both parties.

He'll be sorry for leaving. Southampton will get relegated.

So you are denying Celtic fans in this thread earlier on expressed an opinion that Wanyama would never leave for Southampton?

I expect some decent signings with this cash, the fans won't accept anything else.

Ah, nice generalist answer there cutie pie :52:

Tell me one of your gang who would be delighted at - oh let's say Morgan Schneidelin (or however it's spelled) signing for a Hull City if they offered twenty mill?

I'm sure plenty of Saints would turn into sinners with their cursing of both player and both clubs.

Acceptance? Aye, mught as well take cash for a player who wants to leave.

Neither fact changes that your club is spending an obscene amount of cash, yet will amount to * all :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::bbpd:

No, they don't. Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Man United etc etc.

Having an advantage means top of the pile. You can't honestly be that deluded?

So signing Wanyama and Lovren is going to make the team worse than last season? Can't have it both ways, I thought Wanyama was meant to be the type of player that would improve a team like Southampton?

No idea about Lovren, never seen him play. Wanyama will significantly improve your team though.
