Disheartening for every Southampton fan too, but in a way it's a good problem to have. Big clubs interested in a lot of your players is better than having a team full of players no-one rates.

I don't blame Victor for wanting to double his money elsewhere and don't blame Southampton FC for not wanting him to leave because they can't replace him this late in the window. I hope that Victor has another great season and moves onto Manchester United next summer as they look like they need him.

People are in la la land if they think he can go to Arsenal. He doesn't possess enough quality at all - Southampton fans agree.

Guy can't pass for * and his shooting is all over the joint. He's basically just a £12m brick wall.

They won't let him go for any less than £20m but even then they are saying you can get much better - which you can.

I think the only people in la la land are those that think he's just a big lump and nothing more.

MOTD did numerous in depth stuff with Southampton last season and in particular him and Schneiderlin. He's a quality defensive centre mid and most definitely not just a 12 million pound brick wall.

For the record, he'd be a brilliant signing for Arsenal or United.

A brick wall is what both Spurs and Arsenal need.

So what is he then. What are the fine attributes he brings to a team. You watched him lately - he's been rubbish. Last season he was pretty lacklustre and the season before he was alright.

His game is littered with too many weaknesses. He's never top 4 material.

Schneiderlin (sp) is what he wishes he could be. Schneiderlin should take most of the credit for their defensive displays last season, not Wanyama.

So off the back of an alright season then a lacklustre one Spurs are willing to almost double what Southampton paid for him? Seriously?

I saw that, Sky Sports news done it as well. There goals conceded halfed when Wanyama was playing than when he wasn't, including when Schniederlin was playing for them.

As a defensive midfielder he is absolutely collasal, as every Celtic fan should remember to be fair.

    Answer my question.

What attributes are so massively stunning from Wanyama?

I loved him when he was here, don't get me wrong. However he just hasn't progressed at all.

Not the only one to think this - the fans who watch him week in week out think the same.

Neither could Makelele, it's that he's a top defensive player who can break up play and also take pressure off his team by holding the ball or taking it on a run thats his best attributes, he's also excellent in the air and has good pace to recover etc

I actually think Man U may have been "Lovrened" with Schneiderlin, he's looked very average in the 3/4 games i've seen him there where he's neither that good at defending, attacking or using the ball for the level they're at. I've thought of Schneiderlin as a bit of a Gareth Barry decent solid player but he's not really looked too good for them so far playing with a higher calibre of player.

If you look at his stats last season, he averaged 6.1 tackles or interceptions per 90 minutes. Schneiderlin averaged 6.7.

Schneiderlin's pass success 89.3%, Wanyama's 84.1% not that much in it when you consider Schneiderlin mostly sat in the centre of midfield or deeper while Wanyama covered a lot of the park so would have been higher up the pitch a lot more than Schneiderlin, so not as many passes between Wanyama and the defence as Schneiderlin.

Both of them only made 1 assist, Schneiderlin scored 4 goals in 31 shots, Wanyama scored 3 goals in 25 shots. Very similar again.

Even their blocks, clearances, fouls are all very similar, almost exactly the same.

The only real differance between their stats is Schneiderlins pass accuracy is 5% higher and Wanyama does about 2.5 more dribbling.

Their ratings formulated on their stats in games by opta by their position etc rated Schneiderlin at 7.51 and Wanyama as 7.12 both good ratings Schneiderlin as Southamptons best and Wanyama as 3rd best behind Fonte.

I personally think he has a bit more to his game than you are making out, but I do think he needs to improve technically to become a top player. However, even if he was just a brick wall, that is pretty much exactly what Arsenal need. They have enough ball players in their team, but have no steel whatsoever. They have got Cazorla almost operating as a defensive midfielder.

    Pochettino thinks differently.

He has all the attributes you would want from a top defensive centre mid. He is strong and powerful but he is also discplined and has good positioning. When he plays for Southampton they are a more cohesive and stronger unit. That was partially due to the partnership with Schneiderlin but not entirely.

Does that 'answer your question' or do you want a 45 page thesis on the pros and cons of Victor Wanyama?

Koeman said he is 100 percent staying so who knows what's happening.

I mentioned about his attitude the other week, alot of African players in particular have pretty * attitudes and as soon as they see an opportunity to make a few extra grand they jump at the chance. I think it's alot to do with many coming from extremely poor backgrounds.

Fair play, can't say I'd not do the same. A prime example is Sulley Muntari, was looking at his instagram and the * is posing with about 10 billion Lamborghini's.:56:

Ok, maybe not 10 billion, more like 9.
