It's definitely not happening. Tottenham are offering too little money, Arsenal haven't put a bid in at all, it's too close to the transfer deadline and Saints have already sold Schneiderlin and Clyne this summer. Wanyama and Mané will be sold next summer when Southampton have had the chance to get replacements in. Silver lining for Celtic fans is Wanyama will go for more money next summer so the 10% sell on will be greater.

Koeman said he will definitely be staying at Southampton. Doesn't mean he definitely will but if he doesn't know it will put Koeman in an interesting position.

Southampton to Spurs....... it's hardly that much of a step up. Someone needs to advise Vic to stay for another year and prove himself without Schneiderlin and then get himself a move to one of the champions league clubs. It won't be too long until Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool realise they need another defensive midfielder. Spurs look awful this season though, going nowhere.

Spurs have far more credence than Southampton.

It might be another stepping stone.:56:

Poor form from Victor tbh Spurs are probably level in terms of quality with Southampton should have held out for Arsenal imo there crying out for someone like him in there midfield which I've always felt was a wee bit too lightweight

What has he done that's wrong?

Thought he was left out by Koemann because his head wasn't
in the game. They know how we felt now.

Spurs are a far bigger club than Southampton.

Victor Wanyama has asked to leave Southampton but manager Ronald Koeman says the midfielder will not be sold.
The 24-year-old was left out of the 3-0 win over Norwich for not being "mentally and physically good enough to play", according to the Saints boss.
Koeman added: "If he keeps playing like this, he is playing with his future."

I'm a Saints fan but I'll leave others to decide if I'm a billy big balls. Only a fool would claim that Southampton are a bigger club than Celtic, except in one narrow respect and that's the wage bill. Celtic's 2013/14 wage bill was £38m, Southampton's £55m and Tottenham's £100m. Unfortunately that's the only measure of "bigness" that seems to count in modern football. From Victor Wanyama's point of view Tottenham will be a huge step up for him.

But nobody forced Victor to sign a four-year contract and Southampton don't have to sell him with two years left on that contract. There's less than 48 hours left in this transfer window and when it shuts Victor will have a choice either to play good football this year or see his chance of a big money move fall away.

    Surprised at Wanyama.

I really don't like it when players dig their heels in to force a move.

It's hardly like he'll be on peanuts at Southampton.

I guess it will be a but disheartening when everyone around you gets a bigger move.

Tottenham are a lot bigger than Southampton. They've had a couple of good seasons punching way above their weight, but I can see that form dropping back.

    You seem reasonable mate.

Spurs, in tradition, history & finances wipe your arses.

They had Gary Lineker & Gazza as well as Danny Blanchflower
    & klinsmann.

    He is going say goodbye:icon_mrgreen:

Aye but Southampton had Mick Channon, Mark Dennis and Glenn Cockerill all of whom were miles better than Lineker or Gazza.

Spurs are crying out for a player like Vic. Exactly what they need as they're pretty lightweight in the middle of the park.

Spurs are a bigger Club. They are a buying Club whereas Southampton appear to be a selling one. In general terms.

Must be disheartening for any Southampton player seeing all your team mates sold when you are doing so well.
