They won't be getting him for £7 million. Lazy journalism anyway.

United can fck right off if they think they'll get Wanyama for 7 million. If they want him they'll have to pay well over the odds. We don't need to sell, this article is bullshyte bandying around figures. Celtic will accept this, United will pay that. Bullsht article.

If they are interested, the minute United come sniffing the price tag will go through the roof.

I have no doubt Celtic would just toss such a pish offer out. 10 millions seems about right.

If this is true, then they probably think that they're getting a cheaper version of Cheick Tiote. Not a * chance. Wanyama will cost just as much, if not more, than Tiote, especially since big Vic has proven himself in European competition now.

Nobody is ever going to pay 15m for a player with only SPL experience. To be honest I reckon we'd accept a bit of 8m or 9m easilly

    Cheers buddy:50:
Thought that was only 6m and that was after he put in a good showing at the Olympics and all that. Just genuinely don't think that Wanyama is going to be the player that breaks the SPL transfer fee. Can't see it mate

He's got experience in the Belgian league, the Europa League and the Champions League, as well as the SPL. Oh,and 19 caps for the Kenyan nation team.

He's actually massively experienced for such a young player.

He's done enough to get noticed by the EPL already, so if he keeps that up and performs to his ability in the CL he could do.

I just said SPL experience as I reckoned that would be more respected in England than the Belgian league. Fair enough he's got European experience as well but when you compare it to Mcgeady's before we sold him it's not that extensive.
But to be honest I'm probably just being a pessimistic *

If the Great wall of Kenya puts ink to paper for a 4/5 year deal i'd agree with an above post. Bidding starts at £15million and if you don't like it then go and find yourself another player.

Fact is, Wanyama is showing ALL the hallmarks of a player capable of playing for your Man City/Utd's, Real Madrids and Barcelona's, BUT he's not! He's ours!

You can put your mortgage on it that Lawwell is thinking along the same lines as most of us.

Michu - £2 million. Top scorer among midfielders in Liga BBVA last season.

Nigel de Jong - £5 million. Played the World Cup-final in 2010. Lots of international experience.

Esteban Granero - £9 million. Couldn't find his place in Real, but that boy got skills.

Gylfi Sigurdsson - £9 million. Top season for Swansea.

    Victor Wanyama - £15 million?

By any means, he's a great player, playing with both heart and brains, £10M maybe, but £15M? For a non-EU-player?

    But then again;

    Carrol - £ 30 million. Aim high.

When you pay 10 mill for Big vic you aren't paying for what you get right now, you are paying for what you might get when he gets older and more experienced. The players you mentioned there won't get any better, we know how good they are.

The difference with Vic the Brick is that he is still to reach his peak, in fact you won't see the best of him for another 5 years.
