    Well, Vic is never gonna make a defence-splitting pass. But in terms of winning the ball back and shifting it from A to B he is fantastic.

    If you feel the need to man mark the oppositions defensive midfielder you've got big issues anyway. He's highlighting things Vic isn't the best at, because he doesn't have to be. His job is to get the ball and give it to the guys who can make the defence splitting passes, and at that he's almost world class.

    all that matters is that davis is now further down the pecking order and will get less games for southampton, due to them signing quality players.
