It's all ifs, buts and maybes..

BUT, if we had Tierney fit, Rogic fit, Benkovic fit, and played with the same discipline and calmness on the ball that we showed tonight I think we would be more than a match for that Valencia team.

Yes they have fantastic players, but if it wasn't for stupid individual errors by usually fringe players, we looked every bit as good as them.

Brown and Ajer were excellent.

Ref was so cruel giving it 2 yellows to Toijan when he let there player away with a tug and then the block on Forrest.

Once we get Burke properly up to speed and working on his touch he will be brilliant for us in Europe next season.

 

said it many times, if we want to compete in europe we need to be spending 20-30mill ... at a minimum.
you can't reasonably expect to progress at even this level with ''works in progress'' and 6mths loan players.

 

Proud of us tonight they can all hold there head up high the fighting spirit was great to see

We've done well the night, credit where it's due, but really the gutless performance first leg, as with most other games in Europe the last few year, are what stick in my mind.

I've only just joined here but folk who know me are sick fed up hearing me greet about how * we are in Europe. Thank * it's over and I can get back to greeting about scottish referees instead.

 

You have to beat the other teams eventually. Draw means * all.

 

Restored some pride especially in the first half. Ref killed the game with the red card, I think up until that moment they hadn't had an effort on target.

I've slagged this team's mentality majorly in the past but they stood up tonight..

To the point I'm 100% convinced we don't lose that game with 11 men..

Shattered bodies putting everything on the line..

We tried something different away and learned a helluva lot in defeat. Lots and lot's to be positive about going forward..

We can pass the ball excellently and under pressure. We can defend well as a unit. We can be stuffy and hard to breakdown..

All the stuff we don't see usually and slate this squad and Brendan for....they answered back tonight..

They made us proud..

Now rest up and go for this treble..

 

Unlucky celts. We just aren't quite good enough at this level.

 

Some performance, I said all along I can always take a defeat as long as an effort is put in.

 

A really good performance overall. Very unlucky to be down to 10 men and even then still competed against a good side.

One of those " if only!" games.
