I agree, he offers a more physical aspect that we got from moussa where as eddy likes to try dance past people.

The other thing that seems to be forgotten about Bayo is he was never fit to get a run in the team. He was very raw, missed a lot of one on ones through a poor touch, however he can score goals and cause problems given his energy, physicality and he is very good in the air.

With good set piece delivery from Turnbull you could see him pick up a good few goals from there.

Should he be the main man for us, definitely not but he could offer something given we need so many players in.

Not saying he should have been the main man, but the way he plays would have been a refreshing change. We dont have any physicality in the final third.

Our tactics have been stale.. we lack both real pace in wide areas and, until the relatively recent signing of Turnbull, quality delivery into the box from set pieces.

I cant wait to see us get someone who is pacey and direct again out wide to beat players and provide service for our strikers. Instead of the usual pedestrian build up and balls into feet all the time.

a target man or a striker capable of running in behind and opening up the defence.

Guess it all depends on what style we play.
If he was here this season, would have been a waste of space, wide men not getting balls into the box.

He's done more than just goals in the box, that's his strongest aspect but he does offer more.

plus he could probably defend a set piece better than any * has this season

He's had a decent year in France. Averaging a goal every 3 games I think. Hopefully get a good fee in the summer from someone willing to take a punt on him. Would offer something different here and would be a good player to have when wanting to play more direct but for me, if we got a good fee? Take it and move on.

If it’s goals to games yeah it’s 1 in 3.

But if it’s goals to minutes played it’s just better than 1 in 2, he’s started 16 of the league games he’s played in.

I’d still like to see him given a shot at pre season as he’s different from our other strikers but unsure if he’d be part of an Eddie Howe styled team, doesn’t really fit in.

“Assist” is a stretch for that

    (I know it’s an assist)

I'd rather he brought in someone good with actual potential so score a barel load than waste time with another of lawells projects.

finally get excited when we win a corner!!
should have loaned him , griff or polish paddy to teams within the league this season and tried to nick points of rangers - terrible strategic thinking - players sitting wasting on the bench when they could have made impacts in the league.

personally I think he is a poor mans Toney but as always we make the wrong decisions regarding players.

but I do like the idea of a Sutton / Larsson partnership again. 2 men up top - one to win and hold up play - get flick ons etc and the other to play on the shoulder etc.. instead of 1 striker up against 2 defenders with little to no service.

mind boggles - hopefully a new coach will understand the type of football we want to see and play, place with pace, intent and be game smart.

compare these stats to toney both playing in the second divisions.
    cluster * as always
lets get someone in who can actually get good impact players into the club
compare our last 10 signings with the blue side of town last 10 signings - shocking the difference
the start of last season we needed a spine - a goal keeper - a centre half - a good energetic physical midfielder box to box and another striker - with a pacy winger - if we secured those the 10 was ours fs - we ended up shopping on auto trader and got stitched up big time with the players we brought in - then in jan we brought in a player even worse the duffy!!

Literally happened to me this year. Bought a car of auto trader, absolutely buzzing about it and had to spend nearly £700 getting the * thing fixed.

terrible mate - always respect my aul man, brings a magnet with him on any car we look at, then takes it to the steepest road and sees how she handles it in second gear.

the missus is doing my head in about wanting to buy a ' Chelsea tractor' - away and * delusions of grandeur.
